Tori's P.O.V

This morning, again, we had breakfast at Rob's. Since Ian and Tyler slept at Harp's last night they came along as well. When we reached Rob's, Alex and Nat were already there. Guess they decided to meet up earlier.

Alex doesn't talk to Jessica that much anymore, atleast that's what I know. Neither does he sit at their table. I started to think they had broken up, but if that was the case he would've told us. He practically stays glued to Nat all day long.

Francy didn't show up. Nathan remained quiet, occasionally giving short replies if anyone asked him anything. We thought maybe if Nathan and Francy talked, they would sort this out. We tried to get Francy to come, told her Mary's here for only two more days, and that Nathan needed her. I guess she just didn't care.

We all reach school just in time to hear the bell ringing. No one bothers talking to anyone, they run to their lockers, take out their stuff and run back to their classes.

I see Ian headed the same way I am and he quickly catches up to me.

"Literature?"

"Yup."

He takes my hand and I walk behind him and enter the classroom.

Before we could sit anywhere Betty appears. Of course, she just had to. And besides, doesn't she have a boyfriend or something?

"Ian..." she says in her usual seductive tone. She walks closer to him and starts playing with the collar of his T-shirt, "you wanna sit with me?" She bats her eyelashes at him.

Ian takes her hand off his collar, "Um, no."

Her next expression is one which confuses me. I thought she would either leave or, knowing her, continue to try to flirt. But she starts smirking at him, almost in a daring way.

Suddenly a knowing look flashes across Ian's face. He sighs in defeat and lets go of my hand which he has been holding this entire time.

He turns arouns to face me, "Sorry, I'll talk to you later." And then he walks away side by side with Betty.

Betty looks back at me tauntingly. I glare at her which makes her silently giggle and then turn back around.

What the fuck is she trying to do? I swear she'll never change.

I see Nathan sitting in a corner but all the seats around him are already taken, and he looks like he wants to be alone anyways. I spot Alex towards the back of the class and sit down beside him.

"What was all that about?" He questions.

"I've got no fucking clue."

The class starts and Ian avoids any and all eye contact with me. He wouldn't even look in my direction. And well, Betty was the opposite. Every chance she got, she would shoot me the same smug look.

That's great, Ian's acting weird again. Why would he even listen to her? At first he refused then some smirking happened and he suddenly listened to her as if he had no choice. He's hiding something.

After a few lectures and being assigned a project the bell finally rings. We all get up from our seats. I wave at Alex and head towards next period, chemistry.

Just as I enter the class I see Ian already seated. My eyes instinctively scan the class and I see no sign of Betty. I go sit beside him.

"So why'd you listen to Betty?"

It seems like it was just the question he was hoping I wouldn't ask because his face becomes pale.

He chuckles nervously, "It's nothing. Don't worry about it." He tries shrugging it off.
