~Chapter 74~

Tori's P.O.V

I can literally feel myself bursting out of joy and pure happiness as I see two of my friends getting back together.

That was until both Ian and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Mike.

"What the hell?" He asked completely ruining the perfect moment they were having.

"Umm-" Tyler started to speak.

"So you're back with him?" Mike asks as he inches closer to Harper.

"I-uh- our breakup was a misunderstanding, it turns out." She tries to laugh it off.

"Not that she owes you any explanation." Tyler rolls his eyes.

"But I thought you and I had something." Mike reaches for Harper's hands.

"I was just looking for a friend." She tries to make him understand.

"You and I both know that's not true." He smiles at her.

"I know that's the truth, I'm sorry if I made you feel otherwise."

Mike's smile drops, and he scrunches up his eyebrows. I was waiting for him to strom out, instead he started to laugh maniacally.

"I-I don't understand, why's he laughing?" Ian whispers to me.

"I have no idea."

Harper backs away from Mike and grabs Ty's arm.

"So you play around with me, until your little boy toy runs back to you? That's all that I was? A little distraction, just so you don't feel lonely?"

"You're the one who approached me!" Harper reasons with him.

"And you two," Mike points his index finger at Ian and me, "you two did this. I was so close to getting the girl of my dreams and you ruined it. I'll ruin you, alright? You better believe I will."

My heart starts to beat faster, he knows? There's no way, unless Terry told everyone.

I look at Ian with my heart racing, as if he knows what Mike is talking about.

"We believe you, Michael, now you can leave." Ian sneers at him.

"You can't tell me to leave." Mike tries to argue.

"But I can," Harper steps in, "fuck off, Mike."

"Oh I'll see you all soon enough." Mike storms out with his shoes in his hands.

We all just stared at each other for a while and just burst out laughing. I missed this so much.

"Netflix and chill?" Ian suggests.

We all just nod and lay around the sofa set, Harper goes and gets some sour patch kids and m&ms for us and, Ian puts on some random movie after arguing with Tyler.

Some people in this school really are lifeless, huh.

I tried my best to have fun and forget about what just happened but my mind went back to what Mike said. About getting back at us?

I changed my seat from the couch to the floor beside Ian.

"What's wrong, Cupcake?" He whispers.

"N-nothing, we accomplished our mission, nothing is wrong." I reason with him.

"I can tell when you lie." Ian smiles.

I sigh, knowing I can't lie anymore.

"Mike said he'd get back at us," I start looking down at my fiddling thumbs, "do you think he knows about me a-and Nathan?"

Ian thinks for a second.

"I don't think he does. You only told Harper, Ty and Me, and Terry of course. He's not so close with Terry, you know? He dated Betty and that ended in bad terms, Terry is like close with Betty and everything." Ian explains, looking at me.

I just nod and rest my head on his shoulder.

"What else do we have against each other?" I ask, thinking out loud, now looking at the screen.

"Nothing I can think of."
