Tori's P.O.V
"Team lights take your places-" Harper starts, as Alex places his fingers firmly on the light switches.
"Team party poppers to each end of the room-" Me, Ian and Nathan form a kind of triangle around the room.
"Team party blowouts right by the door-" Harper and Tyler stand right by the door.
"And the door opener, open the door exactly 10 seconds after the doorbell rings." Harper instructs Fred.
"I hate serious Harper-" Alex mumbles.
"Checklist time!" Harper screams.
"Balloons?"
"Blown an- and up." Tyler says, questioning himself.
"Huge pride flag?"
"Right behind you." Fred says.
"Happy birthday inflatables?"
"On the pride flag." Fred says.
"Finally," Harper sighs, "where's the cake?"
Silence.
"Where's the motherfucking cake?" Harper yells.
"Weren't you supposed to bring the cake?" Ian asks Harper.
"Uh-" Harp starts.
"Yeah that sounds right." I push.
"OH YEAH! I have the cake, I almost forgot. In the freezer." Harper takes a deep breath, grinning sheepishly.
"Everything's perfect." Fred breaths out.
As if right on time the doorbell rings, everybody's ready to play their roles.
Exactly counting to 10 Fred opens the door and Hayden enters with Nat trailing behind.
Alex hits the switches and the party poppers go off, along with the blowouts.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone screams at the same time, making Hayden cover his ears and hide behind Fred.
"What the fuck?!" Hayden screams back.
"It's a surprise!" Harper yells.
"I can see that." Hayden rolls his eyes.
I walk into the kitchen get the cake with frosting spelling out "Happy Bithday new friend, Hayden!" Harper shouldn't be given the cake duty ever.
"Happy birthday to you-" I walk in the room where all of them were standing, singing the song.
"Happy birthday to you-" the rest of them join me as I set the cake on the table, "Happy birthday dear Haydennn. Happy birthday to you."
"Thank you so much guys." Hayden smiles at all of us.
"Anything for you man." I slap his back.
"No really- didn't have to. I didn't even think you'd remember." he says to Freddie.
"We also have presents, so don't thank us yet." Fred kisses Hayden.
"I just- I don't really know how to express my love towards anyone. I never loved anyone, never had any friends. I'm so thankfull you all accepted me into your little group. I've never felt so at home ever, I always thought all of you would hate me forever." Hayden sighs.
"I can say only one thing," Alex starts, "I did hate you. Really hated your guts for everything you did to Fred. But, then again you also made him the happiest, so I guess I love you for that." Alex smiles.
