[Song for the Chapter:
Midnight Love- girl in red]Tori's P.O.V
Ring the bell once. Then twice.
Knock on the door three times.
I turn around to walk away before the door opens, my lips stretch into a sly smile, knowing Ian probably already 'forgave' me.
"What do you want?" His cold words slice through the thin air.
I turn around.
"So that's it?" I walk towards him, "No cupcake shit? No flirty comments? No greetings-"
"You know we're not really-" He stops abruptly.
"Not really what?" I ask, "What did you expect me to do? Rat my best friend out? For something, she didn't even-" It was my turn to stop.
"Why are you here?" He sighs.
"I want to apologize. For hurting you. I don't want to end our little friendship, not like this." I look him in the eye.
When I say he is glowing, I mean it. The sun was perfectly positioned behind me to highlight every single detail of his face. The navy blue tank top he's wearing seems to have faded out a little. His eyes, oh my god, they still looked as if someone set some honey on fire. I couldn't help but admire Ian Russell standing in front of me in all his glory.
"I don't want it to end either." He smiles.
And I smile back.
"Wanna play videogames with me," Ian asks, "and Tyler?"
And bingo.
Just what Harper predicted.
Depression gameplay boys.
"Yeah sure, not like I have anything better to do."
"He isn't mad at you, you know?" He smiles.
"He isn't?" I ask, acting clueless.
Ian shakes his head.
Of course, he isn't.
"He'll be mad at me. Not you. He thinks you had no choice but to keep your best friend's secret."
Harper's voice rings in my mind.
"Hey, Ty," I say as I enter Ian's house, "How are you doing?"
I mentally bang my head against the wall.
"I'm sorry, that's a stupid ques-"
"Better than before," Tyler passes me a sad smile, "I'm doing better than before."
"He just stopped crying five minutes before you came," Ian whispers in my ear.
"She came to play video games," Ian says.
"It's okay," Tyler narrows his eyes at me, "I know Harper sent you here."
That's not supposed to happen.
"No, she didn't-" I scrunch up my nose.
"No, she's been coming here to play with me for a while now." Ian adds.
Okay, what?
"Why didn't you tell me?" Tyler asks, he can't be suspicious.
"What is there to tell? We're just friends." Ian shrugs.
"Yeah right." Tyler laughs.
"What?" I ask, obviously frustrated.
"Nothing." He continues to laugh at my outburst.
