Chapter 4 - Lie

"Hello love" Namjoon beams as he leans down to give Jin a kiss on the check.

"Yah, aren't we supposed to be here to eat, not throw up?" Yoongi asked, squinting at the couple, taking a seat next to Jimin, leaving the third alpha to sit opposite him.

"Leave us along Yoongi, you'll realise when you find your mate"

"Sadly, Jin hyung, I don't think Yoongi hyung will have one"

Jimin laughed at his own remark, all the while being put into a playful headlock by Yoongi.

"Everyone" Jin started, "This is Taehyung, he's new here and we've decided to take him under our wing"

Taehyung bowed his head slightly at the 3 alphas, Yoongi and Namjoon greeted him with a smile and a few kinds words but the third alpha, whose name he didn't know, just sat there and stared at him. Taehyung felt intimidated by his strong eyes and kept his gaze down. He began picking at the fruit in his bowl before Jimin spoke up.

"Jungkook-ah, don't be mean", he glared down at him before Jungkook smiled.

His smile is the most beautiful thing I've seen, Taehyung thought.

"I'm Jungkook, nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too. Sorry guys but I have to...go to the bathroom. I'll see you in class", Taehyung quickly took his leave and ran to the toilet.

"There's something about him, I can't put my finger on it"

"Come on Jungkook" Namjoon spoke "you think that about everyone"

"No really hyung"

"No really Jungkook, Namjoon is right. He seems perfectly normal to me, just a guy with a rough life. Give him some time and be nicer to him, poor boy looked like you had burned holes into his head", Jin complained.

"Exactly hyung! I know betas when I see them and he doesn't seem like one"

"We can't just assume, let's give him some time before we decide what he is and isn't"

"Yoongi is right, let's see how he is over the next few weeks, yeah?"

"Yes, Namjoon hyung"

With that, Jungkook made his own way to the toilets. He walked slowly and then stopped when he heard a voice muttering.

"Come on Taehyung, snap out of it"

Taehyung? He thought, why is he talking to himself? He moved slower to the door and heard the boy continue.

"They're not going to find out. What about Jungkook? I don't know how to be around him, I'll end up getting caught"

Caught? I knew there was something up with him! What is it though? Jungkook pondered.

He interrupted his own thoughts when a sweet smell caught his attention, he closed his eyes to take it all in. It smelt like fresh linen, soft and warm, with hints of vanilla. Jungkook peered into the bathroom when he realised where the smell was coming from.

Omega

There was no one else around so it must be Taehyung, but how? He was a beta. Jungkook opened the door a little more to see Taehyung splashing cold water on his face before putting his necklace back on and before Jungkook knew it, the smell was gone. He was right, Taehyung was pretending to be a beta, and he was determined to find out why.

"Taehyung?" Jungkook burst in.

Taehyung turned around startled, "Oh Jungkook, hello"

"Everything okay?"
