Chapter 8 - Jamais Vu

Taehyung looked back at the front of the class at Bogum. Suddenly, he felt like he was back in the orphanage, happy and carefree with his hyung. His mind suddenly snapped back to the lab and he couldn't help but wonder what happened to Bogum and how he ended up back at the school. His mind raced around as he thought about all the possible scenarios.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw Bogum walk over to an empty desk and introduce himself to the boy next to him.

"Hi, I'm Baekhyun, it's nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too"

"After class, I'll show you around the school, you can stick with me" Baekhyun spoke with a smile.

Taehyung felt a little pang of jealousy, not even noticing the look on Jungkooks face as he watched what happened. The rest of the class went painfully slow for the two, they kept trying to steal glances at each other and Bogum who seemed to be in a trance by Baekhyuns presence, not even sparing a glance at Taehyung.

After the class was over, Taehyung tried to speak to Bogum who quickly left the class, Baekhyun leading him out and holding his hand. He stopped by the doorway when he realised that it was no use. Jungkook annoyance with the situation was growing and he stomped past Taehyung, brushing shoulders.

"Hyung?"

Jungkook kept walking, not looking back once.

Taehyung felt hurt, annoyed and confused with what was happening. Jungkook has been ignoring him and now it seems Bogum has forgotten about him too. He walked with his shoulders slumped to his next class. The bell rang for lunch and he made his way to the cafeteria. His friends were there, including Jungkook and they all seemed to be having a good time, even Jungkook was smiling.

"Oh Tae, you okay? You look really down" Jimin asked

"I'm okay hyung"

"You sure, you seem really upset Tae, you can tell us you know"

"It's okay Namjoon hyung, nothing's wrong"

"Hey guys!" Jin shouted as he walked over to the table "Did you see the new guy? Tae is that your old friend?"

Everyone turned their attention to Taehyung, waiting for him to answer.

"Yes, but I don't know if he remembers me, he was in class this morning but I think he's made friends with Baekhyun now"

Jungkook would be lying if he said he wasn't happy to hear Bogum may have forgotten Taehyung, as for the defeated look on Taehyungs face, that he couldn't handle.

"Oh, maybe try to talk to him and see what he says?" Yoongi asked.

"That's a good idea, I'd like to meet the guy who you speak so highly of" Jimin agreed.

"Maybe" Taehyung continued picking at his food before excusing himself.

He was on his way to the bathroom when he felt a hand grab his hand and drag him into a classroom. He was about to scream when he realised it was Bogum. Jungkook had been walking past when he saw Taehyung being grabbed. He was about to burst in but the voices he heard stopped him in his tracks.

"Hyung!"

He jumped into Bogums arms and the pair shared a warm hug, staying like that for a few minutes, enjoying each other's warmth until Taehyung broke away.

"Hyung, how come you're here? I mean I'm happy about it but I'm confused too, what happened? I thought you forgot me"

"How could I ever forget you Taehyung-ah? I've been speaking to Hoseok hyung, we agreed not to say anything to you in case anything went wrong. He's been helping me get better so I can come back and here I am. I'm home now Taehyung, I'm home when I'm with you"
