Chapter 11 - Trouble

Jungkook looked up at Taehyung with slightly widened eyes, "Why didn't you say something earlier Tae?"

"Hoseok hyung told me not to, he said my mate will know who I am, even with my necklace so I didn't think about saying anything. Everything happened so quick with you being my mate and I completely forgot"

"Baby, it's okay, come here"

Taehyung blushed at the new pet name as Jungkook pulled him in for a tight hug before letting go and looking Taehyung deep in his eyes.

"Taehyung, nothing will happen before you're ready and I will try to make it as painless as I can but first heats and marking always come with pain. I don't want to hurt you at all baby but it's only once and it gets better, okay?"

"Okay"

"Do you trust me baby?"

"With my life"

"And I'll protect it till the day I die"

Taehyung pulled Jungkook in for a kiss, catching him by surprise. Jungkook responded by snaking his arms around Taehyungs waist and pulling him closer, deepening their sweet kiss into a heated passionate one. They broke apart for air, panting slightly and smiling at each other.

"Let's go to class" Jungkook grabbed Taehyungs hand and interlocked it with his own before making his way to their friends.

The school day seemed to go somewhat slowly, Taehyung found he couldn't really concentrate on anything, all he could think about his birthday and feeling his own heat. His mind thought up all the possible scenarios, good and bad trying to make sure he wasn't too surprised on the day it happened. After the morning was over, he made his way to the cafeteria for lunch but only saw Namjoon and Jin.

"Hey Tae" Namjoon greeted

"Hey hyungs, where are the others?"

"Yoongi and Jimin have gone...somewhere and Jungkook said he had an emergency to do deal with"

"Oh" Taehyung wondered why Jungkook hadn't mentioned it to him.

"Don't worry Taehyung! It's probably something to do with parents. Maybe they've decided to finally find out how their son is"

"Jin" Namjoon said with a warning tone in his voice.

"Namjoon" Jin retorted back.

There was a silence at the table for a minute before Namjoon changed the direction of conversation "I need to go to the library for some things, got an exam in a few days. I'll see you two later, bye babe" He kissed Jin on the lips before ruffling Taehyungs hair and making his way out of the cafeteria.

"What did you mean by what you said hyung?" Taehyung turned to Jin

"As you noticed, Jungkooks parents are never really around. They're a successful power couple, if you will, and they never really had the time for Jungkook, he seemed to be more of a financial investment than a son, someone to take over their company. He spent most of his childhood around his nannies and when he was old enough, the nannies were gone and the business trips became more frequent. They give Jungkook an unlimited amount of money so he can live on his own"

"He must have been so lonely"

"He was, I'm sure he'll tell you everything soon. I'm glad he's found you now though. You make him happier than we've ever seen him. You have changed his life"

Taehyung smiled and blushed before asking his next question.

"Hyung?" he asked as he picked at the food on his plate.
