Chapter 17 - I Need U

"But hyung, I don't want to leave you again!"

It had been a week since the kidnapping incident and Taehyung was whining to Hoseok about having to leave again to stay with Jungkook. He didn't really mind, in fact, he was ecstatic to stay with Jungkook again, he's become more clingy this past week and will do anything to be by his side, he just didn't want to leave Hoseok on his own again.

"Tae, I know you don't want to but you have to be with your mate during his rut. Now sit down so I can explain some things to you"

Taehyung just huffed a little and sat down with his arms folded over his chest.

"So, an alpha or betas rut is the same as an omegas heat but there is a slight difference. After an omega has had their heat, their mates go through their rut, it's always in this order"

"Why?"

"Because the heat is to help the bonding processing for the more submissive partner, it helps you prepare for your mates rut which is not gentle to say the least. It's a rough experience and for one outcome only, to knot their partner so they can bear pups"

Taehyungs face flushed a deep shade of red as he stood up from where he was sitting.

"Hyung, you're crazy. Pups? Now? What if I'm not ready?"

"If you're not ready, then your body won't accept pups but your mate will go through his rut for a couple of days every couple weeks until you are and it won't be easy"

"What?! Every couple of weeks?!"

"Tae calm down. I know it's hard to get your head around but it will happen eventually"

"What about school?"

"Schools are understanding and will send your work home. Besides, you'll only be carrying the pups for 3 months so it's not as long as you think"

Taehyung stayed silent as Hoseok pulled him in for a hug. The truth is that he was happy to do all of this, he just didn't think it'd be so soon. He tried to shake any negative feeling and swung his arms around Hoseok to hug him back. They continued talking for a while before they heard a knock on the door. Hoseok opened the door to let Jungkook in, face flushed and hair soaked from the rain outside.

"You okay Jungkook?" Taehyung asked, moving over to his mate.

"I'm okay, I came rushing over to tell you that my parents are coming back in a week. They said they're only back for a week before they have to leave again but it's perfect because you'll be living in the house with me!"

"Won't they mind?"

"Don't be silly, they know about us and they're really happy to meet you. They said we will discuss the house situation when they're here but they have no problem with you coming. You all packed?"

He nodded slowly, looking over at Hoseok. He shuffled over and gave him a back hug, resting his head on his shoulder. Jungkook smiled at the sight before him.

"I don't want to leave hyung anymore, what if he gets lonely?"

Hoseok chuckled and pried Taehyung off him "Taehyung, come on, we spoke about this. Ruts are quicker than heats and you can come see me after it's all over. Besides, Bogum is moving in here so I won't be lonely"

"Fine..." Taehyung threw his hands in the air and went to grab his bags which Jungkook helped him load into his car.

He said his goodbyes to Hoseok who obviously sent him off with plenty of food. They had arrived at Jungkooks house and spent the next hour getting the food put away and Taehyung unpacked his bags upstairs. They spent the next couple of hours playing games and talking before Taehyung decided he was sleepy.
