"I.. no, I don't feel like i can tell you."  Matthew said looking back down.

"well then, that's where you're wrong." I ststed.

"Ok, but promise me that you won't laugh?" He asked starting to look up again.

"Yes i promise, now tell me before i come over there and force it out of your mouth!" i said louder than intended.

"ok, well, my football coach, he uh..." Matthew started. "well, you know the new guys in schoo?" he finished.

"yes, cameron and his friends?"  i asked only knowing one of their names.

"Yea, well they decided to try and make the football team and my coach decided that it would be fine since there is only one game left... anyways, he ust called me and told me that i was off the team." Matthew finished sadly.

"awww, are you ok?" i asked stupidly.

" I guess so, but this was the last game that i would ever play." he said.

"why? arn't you gonna play next year?" i asked.

"I wanted to, but my mom said that my grades were really bad and that if i don't get them up then i can't play... so lets just say that she won." he said closing his wndow.

I shut my window and got ready for bed.

I couldn't help but wonder why the football team would have a game in winter.

I pushed that thought out of my mind becuase it was impossible for me to figure out.

At night is when i do most of my thinking.  I think about school (yuck), and mostly about life.

Also at night is when i have recently been praying.  I pray that my dad will get a job and that he won't be misserable anymore.

I know that he has only been jobless for a little while, but he just isn't the same/.

I also am thinking about my party.  i just don't know if i want to have a party on new years eve or not.  I mean new years eve is in like 4 days so i should make up my mind now.

I went to my window and saw that matthews window was opened a little bit.

I saw something coming out of his window but i couldn't tell what it was.  I opened my window and it smelt really bad out.  I thought it was just the trash close by outside, that is until matthew opened his window which let out something that i was too late to see.

I closed my window right before i saw what matthew was doing because i was afraid of what it might of been.

i sat in bed wondering abbout my party details.  everything was in order. I just needed a damn date.

I called Anna and asked her what i should do.

        Conversation S-Sarah   A- Anna

S "Hey, i have a quick question."

A " what?"

S " ok, so about my party..."

A "i have three words... NEW YEARS EVE!"

S "well, that was a uh, easy question."

A "So, you're gonna have it on new years eve?"

S " I guess, i mean that's what everyone wans."

A "EEEHH, so i can invite everyone right?  boys too?"

S  " No, i only want our closer friends."

A " so that means everyone but Matt and his friends?"

S  "exactly."

A " gotcha, k night."

S "ok, thanks for everything, night."

we hung up and i let out a sigh.

"why do i get pressured into things so easily?" i asked myself.

"I think it's because you're too nice." I heard an unwanted voice.

"Gosh, Matthew, why are you listening to my conversations?"  i asked walking to open my window.

"Now were even!" He siad with a smirk and closed his wondow.

It still smelt horrible outside and a bit hazy.

I went to bed that night with a bad headache from the smell that now was trapped in my nose.

I also continued to think about my party and how much i am going to hate my sweet sixteen.
