Everything went fast for Jisung. The first time his girlfriend had collapsed on school, they immediately brought her to the school clinic. She was complaining a severe stomach pain, and the school nurse gave her pain killers.
She took the whole day off and rest at the clinic. Jisung watches her intently and making sure that she feels better. "Go back to our class, Jisungie.. You'll miss our weekly quiz.." the beautiful girl, Queenie Song said to him in a soft voice.
Jisung pouts at him and caresses her face. "Do you expect that I can concentrate there when you're here at the clinic, having stomach aches? I'll choose not to pass that subject, rather than leaving you here alone.."
Queenie smiled and took Jisung's hand, intertwining their fingers. "That's so sweet, Jisungie.. But I want you to take that quiz.. Please? For me.." she blinks her eyes cutely and looks at Jisung with her puppy eyes.
Of course, Jisung would fall for that. "Angel eyes.." Jisung softly said to her. Queenie is famous at their school. She was smart, beautiful, her beautiful singing voice, and her unique blue-colored eyes. Others would find it weird.
But for Jisung, he really adores Queenie's eyes.
The girl smiled and leans closer, pecking Jisung's cheek. "Please go back to our classroom, Jisungie.. And take that quiz.. We studied for it the whole night, so I know that you'll pass it.."
The boy smiled and this time, he leaned closer and kissed Queenie's forehead. "Okay.. Okay.. I'll take that exam.. Just promise me that you'll rest well, so that you can recover fast, okay?" Queenie raised her right hand and puts up a serious face. "Yes, sir!" Then, she laughs it off, making Jisung laugh too.
Before leaving, Jisung looks back at his girlfriend again. "I love you, Queenie.. For the rest of my life.." The girl smiled at her. "I love you too, Jisungie.. Goodluck!" After Jisung left, tears starts to flow on her eyes.
She cried hard and covers her face with her palms. "I'm so sorry, Jisung.." she sobbed.
After that incident, Queenie's stomach aches are always occuring, making her family worried. Her mother would always advised her. "Let's see a doctor, love.. I noticed that recently you always experiencing stomach aches.."
However, the girl shrugged it off. "Don't worry, Mom.. I think it's because of the stress and tiredness from school.." What they didn't know is that it was too late. One time, while Queenie was in her music class, during a song recital, her stomach ache appeared again.
But this time, it was more painful and she coughed blood, then collapsed at the stage. She was brought to the hospital and doctors found out that it was a colon cancer, stage 4.
Everyone couldn't believed it. Jisung too was dumbfounded as well. But that's the harsh truth. The people who heard the news didn't worry too much because Queenie's family are rich and they can easily get her treated.
But it was too late. The doctor just gave her few days to live, which Jisung almost punched the doctor who said it. However, time came really fast for Jisung.
After a few days, Queenie died. They held a funeral for her. Three days after, they are all standing on a high cliff, over looking the ocean waters, ready to spread Queenie's ashes over the wind.
The girl's mother and her whole family cried hard, however, Jisung is still on a state where he was just staring at blank space, still can't believed that his girlfriend is gone.
He couldn't caught up in the moment. He was left behind. Everything is still not sinking in.
After going home, sitting on his dim-lighted bedroom, everything starts to sink in, realizing that Queenie is not coming back anymore. Right there and then, he cried all the pain that he stored in his heart.
