They are now currently walking towards Chenle's house, the taller carrying the smaller's backpack. The smaller is looking at him, with an evident pout on his face, making Jisung laughed. "Why are you looking at me like that?" the taller asked teasingly.
Chenle pouts more before looking away. "Why do you have to walk me home? I can literally manage and you'll be late on the dinner with your mother.." he reasoned out. Jisung laughs softly, finding the smaller really cute right now.
"No need to be worried, Lele.. I already called my mom that I'll send you home first before going to their house.. So it's okay.." he smiled again. "Have you already forgotten my promise to you? That I'll always walk with you.. Going to uni.. Going to work.. And going to home.."
Chenle had stopped walking, ready to protest when Jisung suddenly squished his cheeks with his big hands that almost covered his face. "It's really okay, Lele.. I promise.." he grins, still squishing Chenle's cheeks with his hands.
The smaller just sighed before pouting again. "Okay, Sungie.."
Jisung laughs again before pulling away from Chenle's cheeks. "Now, let's go! Your mother and your uncle are excited to see you.." After a few minutes, they had reached in front of Chenle's home, seeing Taeyeon, waiting at the front.
"Lele! My baby! I missed you!" Taeyeon runs and immediately engulfes his son on a hug, while peppering his face with soft pecks. "I missed you too, Mom.." Chenle hugged back like a baby.
"Are you hungry already? I've prepared all your favorite food!" she exclaimed before looking at Jisung. "Jisung! Thank you for everything, and for also walking my son home.. Come on.. Eat dinner with us!" she offered.
Jisung shakes his head. "Thanks for the offer, Mrs. Kim.. I need to go to my parent's house tonight, since my mom prepared a delicious dinner too.. Maybe next time.." he politely replied. "No worries, Jisung.. I completely understand you.. There's plenty of next time.." she smiled.
"I need to go now, Mrs. Kim.. Bye! Bye Lele!" he smiled. Taeyeon was surprised to hear him calling Chenle's nickname. "Bye, Sungie! Thanks for walking me home.." Jisung bowed down again before going on his way.
He's still a few houses away from Chenle's house when he heard someone yelling his name. "Jisung!" He took off the earphones he was wearing, looking back and seeing the smaller running towards him.
"Lele? Is there a problem?" he asked worriedly.
Chenle bowed down, still catching his breath due to his sudden run to catch up with Jisung. After recovering his regular breath, he smiled again in front of Jisung. "I just wanna thank you again, Sungie.."
It was Jisung's turn to pout, he walked closer to Chenle and ruffles his hair softly. "You run over here, just to thank me? Aigoo, Lele.." he replied, still ruffling Chenle's hair. "No need to thank me.. It's my pleasure, doing it for you.." he smiled.
"But I can feel that my thankfulness is not sincere enough.. That's why I wanted to thank you again.." the smaller smiled again. "I assure to you.. I really appreciate your thankfulness, Lele.." he beams.
However, Chenle still feels that his gratitude is still lacking. Then, he remembered how his mother expresses her appreciation to him when he does something good. So he did it.
Without warning, he leaned closer to Jisung, tiptoed, and lands a soft kiss on the taller's cheek. Jisung didn't really know what happened, until he felt a soft lips on his left cheek. "Thank you again, Sungie.. See you tomorrow! Bye!" he cutely waved, before running back to their house.
On the other hand, Jisung is still standing, frozen, couldn't believed what happened. He caresses his cheek, where Chenle's peck had landed. Then, everything sinked in.
Chenle really kissed his cheek. And he just stood there, with his mind being in a mess.
