After working together on the stargazing project, Jisung and Chenle grew closer to each other. The taller of the two would always wait for Chenle's other class schedule and would always walk him home. Of course, while walking, the two would take a stopover on the ice cream store near the university.
After getting the flavors that they love, Jisung would always insist to pay, making the smaller pout.
While walking, the two would talk about random things, and Jisung would always tell lame jokes that made the smaller giggles softly, which Jisung finds it cute. If telling a lame joke would make the smaller happy, he would love to do it everyday.
But that's not all. Every morning, Jisung would go to the smaller's house, waiting for him so that they can walk together to the university. He would also accompany Chenle to his part-time job at Kun's store.
That's how dedicated and protected he is when he promised that he would show Chenle the beauty of this life.
It has become their daily routine, it gets to the point that Taeyeon and Heechul are having some suspicions.
"Sis?" Heechul asked, while cutting the vegetables that they need to cook. "Hmmm?" Taeyeon hummed, stirring the broth on the stove. "I noticed how Jisung would always accompany Chenle everywhere.. Is he the personal bodyguard or something?"
Taeyeon just smiled before tasting the broth, her eyes shimmer because of the smooth taste. She turned off the stove and goes to the table where her brother cuts the vegetables. "He's just fulfilling his promise that he would always be there for our Lele.." she grins.
Heechul just nods, eating some carrots that he peeled earlier. "For me, they look like boyfriends.." he teased. Taeyeon smiled back, before getting some chopped carrots and munches right away.
"It's Lele's heart.. I wouldn't meddle with his love life.. I don't want to meddle on his choices. But, when the time comes and he fell in love, and I hope with Jisung, I would gladly give my blessings.. We don't know what will happen in the future, right?"
Kun looks at the clock near the cash register, where Chenle is staying, realizing that it's 5 in the afternoon already. He stopped arranging flowers on a beautiful vase and wipes his sweat, before looking at the younger.
"Chenle! It's 5 in the afternoon already.. You can now go home.." he smiled. The smaller nods before making sure that his station is clean, before taking out his phone and sits on one of the tables.
Kun looks at him weirdly before checking on the younger. "Still not going home?" he asked. "I'll go now, Kun-hyung.. Jisung texted me that he can't walk me home today.. It's okay! Maybe he's busy.." he smiled.
"I know, Chenle.. That's why he asked Winwin to walk you home today.." Kun giggles. Heard his name being mentioned, Winwin appeared from the back door of the store and smiled at both of them.
"Let's go now, Chenle?" Winwin asked. The smaller stood up and shakes his head. "No need to walk me home, Winwin hyung.. I can manage by my own.. Don't want to disrupt your time here.."
Winwin shakes his head. "No.. No.. Jisung personally asked me to walk you home, because he said that you're literally a baby.." Chenle blushed when he heard that, red color creeping on his face. "Did he really said that?" he stuttered.
Kun noticed him being flustered and laughs softly. "Yes, Chenle.. I'll repeat what he said exactly: He's a baby, Winwinhyung! Please walk him home! That's what he said.."
It was not helping at all, making Chenle really flustered on the spot. Winwin laughs before holding Chenle's tiny hand.
"Let's go, Jisung's baby.." he smirked. "Winwinhyung!" Chenle screeched cutely.
