The car ride towards the university was fun indeed for Sooyoung, thanks to Chenle's cheerful self, not letting the atmosphere down by sharing some funny stories and experiences. The woman also learned about his past health condition.
"You're a brave kid, Chenle.." Sooyoung compliments him, making the smaller flustered. "Cause' that was my mom always told me.. To be brave and kind.." he responded politely.
And in that moment, she knew the reason why her son likes Chenle. He is a good kid, with a gentle and caring heart. She didn't know why, but sometimes, she can see Queenie on him.
They had reached the university grounds early, Chenle had a time to spare before his first class. "Thanks for the ride, Mrs. Park.." the smaller bowed. "It was a great ride, Chenle.. Take care, okay?" The smaller bowed again. "Take care while driving, Mrs. Park!"
She starts the engine again, before zooming out to the road. The smile on her face is still lingering. "Such a nice kid.." she smiled.
Meanwhile, Chenle decides to go to the library first to check some books that might interest him. While on his way, he saw Jeno sitting inside of the empty lecture rooms. He knocks on the door, getting the attention of the latter.
"Jenohyung!" Chenle called him cheerfully, making the boy grins at him. "Good morning, Chenle.." he greets. "What are you doing here? You have morning classes too?" he asked.
"Yup.." Jeno answered. "Guess you also have a morning class, hmm?"
"Yup!" Chenle answers cheerfully. "I thought that you're also going with Jisung, Haechan hyung and Renjun hyung to the seminar.." Jeno snickers at him. "I told my parents that I don't want to go.. That I promised them that I'll just do my very best for my future.."
Chenle was amazed on how Jeno looks at his future. "That was amazing, hyung!" he gasps, making Jeno laugh. "You're really cute, you know?" he teases, making the smaller blushed.
"I'm not cute!" he whined, making his cheeks puffed. "Says your cheeks who looks squishy right now.." he teases again. The smaller gets a little flustered, his face filling with blush. Jeno ruffles his hair cutely. "Okay okay.. I'm sorry.." he pleads.
"Hmmmp!" Chenle tilts his head, feeling annoyed.
"By the way, Chenle.. I'll be taking a five-day break from our classes and activities.." Chenle looks at him. "Why hyung?" he asked. "I just need to.." he smiled. "I just came here to inform our admin office and they approved it.. I'll be also taking a five-day off on my phone and will try to focus on some more productive things.."
Chenle just nods, completely understands where he's coming from. "Enjoy your break, hyung!" he cheered. Jeno stood up from his chair and pokes the smaller's cheek. "See you after five days, Chenle.." then he left.
He had only one class for the day, so Chenle took the initiative to visit the university's clinic to get checked-up in regards on what he felt recently. He is now standing in front of the clinic's door, taking a deep breath before knocking.
"Come in.." a sweet, gentle voice came from inside, easing his nervousness. He softly opened the door and saw the doctor sitting on his table, working on some papers. "Good morning.." Chenle greets politely.
The doctor had paused what he's doing and looks up, smiling directly at him. "Good morning.. I'm Dr. Jaehyun.. The university's resident doctor.. What can I do for you?" Chenle felt mesmerized, looking at the doctor.
His aura is same as Jisung's; warm and comforting.
"Can I consult something?" he asked shyly. Dr. Jaehyun smiled softly at him. "Of course.. I just need to pull up your student details here in my computer.." After pulling up, he starts to ask some questions.
"So, you're name is Chenle? That's a cute one.. A cute name for a cutie.." he smiled again, making Chenle flustered. Dr. Jaehyun also learned his past heart condition and his transplant.
"It's just been a year after your transplant.. How are you feeling so far?" he asked. "To be honest, Doctor.. This past few days, my heart would just beat really fast and I feel warm, and my face starts to get red too.."
When Jaehyun heard it, he stopped typing on his laptop and looks at Chenle. "Interesting.. When do you feel those symptoms?" he asked. The smaller thinks about it carefully. "I always experience those kind of symptoms when I see this specific person.."
And now, thinking about Jisung's face makes his heart beat fast, and his face red. Dr. Jaehyun just laughs, finds Chenle's innocence really cute. "Don't worry about that, Chenle.. The symptoms that you mentioned are quite normal.. 'I'll just leave it for you to figure it out.." he winks, making Chenle confused.
"Okay, Dr. Jaehyun.. Thank you for your time.." he bowed politely before leaving the room, thoughts still mixed up. While thinking about it, Mirae suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Kim Chenle.. We need to talk.." she said annoyingly, before grabbing his wrist and dragging him towards the secluded place of the university.
