Chenle was reading a book on his room when his mother, Taeyeon, called her. "Lele? Can you come out for a second?" He immediately closes the book and jolted up from the bed. "Coming!" he cheerfully yelled.
When he had reached the living room, his eyes widened due to surprise. On the small table, a new backpack, sets of journals and paper fillers, cute pens, and any other tools that he can use while studying in a university.
"Is that for me?" he asked softly, containing the excitement he was feeling. Taeyeon grins. "Of course, I bought this for you, Lele.. I hope that you use it well.. Sorry because it's all that I can afford-" her words are cut off by her son's hug.
"Thank you so much, Mom!" Chenle cutely cried. Taeyeon hugged him and rubs circles on his back. "I am happy to know that you liked it, Lele.." Heechul suddenly appeared at the doorstep.
"Did I disturb a tender mother and son moment?" Taeyeon signals her brother to come. "Come on, oppa.. Group hug!" Heechul didn't waste any single moment and joins them. "I am very blessed to have you both, Mom.. Uncle Heechul.."
"And we are also blessed to have you here on our lives, Lele.."
Chenle pulled away smiled. "I shall arrange my stuffs now, Mom.." he goes happily to his room, together with the stuffs his mom bought. Taeyeon sighed while looking away.
"Still worried, sis?" Heechul asked.
"Very worried.. And nervous for him.."
Heechul puts his hand on his sister's shoulder. "Don't worry, sis.. Chenle's gonna be fine.. And we are always here for him.."
"Sure you're ready to go to uni, buddy?" Mr. Park asked his son. They were at the mall, buying Jisung's stuffs that he needs as the school year starts next week. Jisung nods, sipping on his bubble tea.
"Just don't forget that me and your mother are always here for you, okay?" The boy just smiled and continues to drink. Jisung felt that his heart is at peace now. He just always thinks that Queenie is on a happy place now, not experiencing any pain.
Sometimes, he couldn't avoid to be sad, but it was normal. Even though it happened a year ago, he still think that it was just happened yesterday. He stood up from the table and looks at his father.
"Can I go somewhere, Dad?" he asked. Mr. Park smiled and nods. "Of course.. But please, don't stay out late.."
While leaving the mall, he passed by the doughnut store where he and Queenie always hang out. The girl loved all the doughnut flavors there and would always bought a dozen of it.
It made Jisung remember all the happy memories with the girl. He entered the doughnut shop and bought a dozen of doughnuts, then he left the mall.
He is now standing on the cliff where Queenie's ashes had been spreaded out. He looks at the peaceful sky, the calming sound of the ocean waves makes him feel at peace.
He puts down the box of doughnuts on the grassy land, together with some bunch of flowers. "Queenie.." he whispered at the wind. "It's been a year but I still missed you.. Please always watch over me, okay? I love you so much, Queenie.."
He cried a little, whispering those words on the wind. He was happy, because he knew that Queenie will always watch over him. And he was not wrong.
