Chenle is walking to a field of flowers. It was a good day, the sun is shining so bright, the wind blows gently, making petals of flowers swirl around. He didn't know why he was walking or where would he go, but the beautiful scenery takes his breath away.
"Hey!" a deep voice called his attention from his back. He turned around and saw a tall figure walking towards his direction. Chenle couldn't see the face because it was covered by a bright light.
The figure finally reached in front of him. Chenle wants to see his face badly but he was blinded by the bright light emitting from the tall figure's face. He didn't expected what happened next: the tall figure engulfes him on a comforting hug.
Even though he don't know who it is, he didn't pull away. The hug that the taller figure gave was comforting and felt safe. So, Chenle hugged back. The tall figure spoke softly near on his ear.
"From now on, I'll take care of you.. I will make sure that you are safe and felt loved every single day.." the figure spoke to him. It made Chenle's heart swoon. However, went he was about to pull away from the hug, everything went black.
He can hear a sweet, feminine voice speaking to him.
"Please take care of him, Chenle.."
"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" The alarm went off, making the small boy fluttered his eyes open and rubs it cutely. After fully opening his eyes, he immediately smiled, starting the day with a happy vibes.
"Is that a dream?" he thought. He shrugged it off and jolted up from the bed, going to the bathroom to wash his face. After washing, he wipes his face with a towel, and looks at the mirror, admiring his pair of shining, blue eyes.
He hovers his hands over his chest, feeling the heartbeat of his heart. He closed his eyes for a moment and smiled. "To that someone who gave me a chance to live, I will be forever grateful to you.." he chants over himself.
He opened his eyes again and smiled widely. "Fighting Chenle!" he cheered.
After going out from his room, he saw his mother preparing breakfast at the kitchen. They live at a small apartment in the middle of busy streets in Seoul. It's all they could afford. Chenle's father died when he was still a baby and his mother works as a vegetable seller at the local market.
"Good Morning, Mom!" Chenle greets his mother lovingly. His mother, Taeyeon, looks at him. "Good Morning too, Lele.. Please wait a little bit, breakfast is almost done.." The boy skips cheerfully and hugs his mother. "Can I help you with something?"
Taeyeon smiled. "I can do this, Lele.. Just wait for the breakfast, 'kay?" Chenle smirks at her. "Then, can I borrow your laptop again? I'll just check my email, Mom.." The woman rolled her eyes.
"Okay.. Okay.. Still hoping that you'll pass the scholarship program?" she asked. Chenle nods happily. "There's nothing to lose, Mom, for trying.." Taeyeon smiles. "Okay, you may borrow it.. Shoo! Go away from my kitchen!" she tickled Chenle playfully.
"Thank you, Mom! You're the best!" he clapped his hands cutely before opening the laptop. Chenle didn't put high hopes that he would pass the examination, but it's okay to try, right?"
What he didn't know is that good things are waiting for him to be seen.
