Chenle is running back towards their house, face still flushed with red color. After stopping on their porch, he rested for a while, catching his breath. He didn't know why he did that, but pecking Jisung on his cheek felt really right.
He can feel his heart beating really weird, it was the first time he felt something like this. He hovers his right hand over his chest, feeling his heart. "Why do I feel like this?" he thought.
"Lele! Where have you been? Dinner is prepared already.. Let's eat.." Taeyeon went out, seeing Chenle standing in front of the porch. She noticed that her son still looks like a little bit red. "What happened? Are you feeling good?" she asked.
Chenle stood up straight and nods, answering his mom's question. "I'm feeling okay, Mom.. What do you mean?" he asked back. Taeyeon walked closer and touches his forehead. "You look a little bit red.. Fortunately, you don't have a fever.. Where have you been? Why do you look red?"
Then, Chenle remembered what he did, making his face really flustered, showing the redness. "Uhmm.. I'm really hungry, Mom.. Let's go eat!" he made up some excuse before immediately entering the house.
Taeyeon looks at him while he sprints inside the house. "Hmm.. Something happened, I can tell.." she whispered, before going inside the house.
Jisung also had arrived on his parent's house, still out of his mind. He couldn't really focus, as the scene where Chenle had kissed him on his cheek, plays over on his mind for a hundred times already.
"Jisungie! You're home!" Sooyoung welcomed his son on their living room, hugging him as tight as possible. After pulling away, Sooyoung looks at him thoroughly. "You look a little bit red, Jisung.. Feeling sick?"
She puts over her hand on Jisung's forehead, checking his temperature. "You don't have a fever... Sure you're feeling good, Jisung?" she asked again. He unconsciously nodded again. "I'm feeling good.. Thank you, Mom.." he smiled.
Sooyoung doesn't believe the reasonings Jisung made, but she let it pass. "Good to know.. Now, let's go the kitchen and eat this stress away!" his mom cheered, making him laugh.
While eating the dinner, Sooyoung made sure that Jisung finds the food yummy, but she can clearly tell that Jisung is experiencing something since he was spacing out, even though they are eating.
Jisung must've noticed his mother's stare, so he stared back with a smile, before getting a bite on his food again. He could really tell that his mother is just waiting for him to open up, so he decided to give it a go.
"Uhmm.. Mom?" he asked softly. Sooyoung had stopped eating, took a sip from her cider, before answering her son. "What is it, Jisungie?" she smiled. Jisung took a lot of courage, and he decided to say it out now.
"Is it selfish for me to fall in love and open my heart again?" he asked with a little bit of sadness.
Sooyoung smiled at him before standing up and sits beside him. She pulled Jisung on a comforting hug, rubbing circles on his back, before answering him. "Still blaming yourself about Queenie?" she asked.
Jisung nods softly.
"Jisung.. Queenie would be really sad if she saw you like this.. Blaming yourself for her death.. No one is to blame, Jisung.." she replied with a smile. "Others would always say that we need to move on.. I don't believe in moving on..I believe in 'carrying on' towards the future.. With the lessons that we learned from the challenges we face.."
Jisung nods again, small tears flowing from his eyes.
"Queenie would probably wanted you to be happy and find the love that you deserve, Jisung.. Always remember that.." she smiled. After their tender-loving moment, they went back to eating. "So.. Tell me, Jisung.. Who's the lucky person who caught your eyes?" she asked teasingly.
Jisung couldn't answer right away.
"Is it the Chenle guy Renjun had told me?" she asked, making Jisung blushed really hard. She quickly went back beside Jisung and lead closer. "Details, Sungie!" she cheered, making his son spilling out the details that she wants to know.
