All the doctors inside the room are now helping each other, doing their best to revive Chenle. "Get the defibrillator now!" one of the doctors said. The head nurse immediately pushed the trolly that carries the device, and sets it up real fast.
"My Lele! Please save my Lele!" Taeyeon cried loud, wanting to run to go to his son, but Jisung held her hand, preventing her to go. "Mrs. Kim.. Let's trust the doctors.." Jisung said, but deep inside, he wanted to go Chenle's side as well.
"Lele.." she cried harder, collapsing on the floor. Jisung immediately assists her and guided her to stand up. "Calm down, Mrs. Kim.. Everything will be fine, I'm sure.." he assured. He felt useless that he can't do anything to save the smaller.
Meanwhile, Renjun and the group outside, together with Henry, knows what's happening inside. They are all silently praying for Chenle to be healed and be fine.
Back inside, the doctor starts to pump the defibrillator on his chest. "1.. 2.. Clear!" he pumped the electricity, but nothing is happening. After setting the device for more electricity charges, he tried to pump again. "1.. 2.. Clear!" he pumped again, but it shows no effect to Chenle's heart.
He pumped again one more time, hoping that it would now restore Chenle's heart, but it didn't. The beeping sound of the vital signs monitor still causes horror to all of them inside. The doctor was about to give when the door bursts open, revealing Dr. Jaehyun, a doctor of the cardiology department, who's also the resident doctor at the university.
"We are not giving up on him!" he shouts, before going to Chenle's lifeless body and starts to CPR him. He pumps Chenle's chest with his hands carefully. "One thousand one! One thousand two! One thousand three!"
While watching the doctors reviving her son, she closed her eyes and whispered a prayer. "God, please bring back my Lele.." she whispered softly. Jisung held her close and looks at Chenle. "Please comeback, Lele.. I love you.." he whispered.
He opened his eyes and saw that he was laying on a very soft patch of grass. He jolted up and was shocked to see that he is on a place like paradise. He stood up and can feel the soft breeze, touching his face.
He felt peaceful, like he didn't want to leave the place. Suddenly, a white, bright door appeared far away from him. He didn't know why but he can feel that the door is calling him. He walked slowly, going to the door's direction when he heard someone called her name.
"Chenle.." a soft, feminine voice calls her name gently. The voice starts to call his name again. He looked around and saw the source of the voice that is calling him.
It was a woman, looks like same age with him, walking towards him from the hills filled with sunflower. Reaching him, the woman stood in front him and smiled. They also had the same height, which made Chenle felt fascinated.
"Hello, Chenle.." the woman smiled at him. "Do you know me?" he asked hesistantly. The woman laughs cutely. "Of course.. I am with you always.." she assured. Chenle thought her voice seems familiar.
"I think I heard your voice before.. Talking to me.." he guessed, making the woman smiled. He thought about it for a moment before he recalled it on his mind. "That voice! You're the one who keeps me company at the hospital when I was blind that time.."
"Correct.." the woman smiled. "And I am also the one who gave those eyes of yours, especially the heart.." she proudly said. Chenle felt like he was being poured by a cold water, guilt starts to bloom on his heart.
"Really? Does it mean I'm the reason why you're dead?" he asked softly. The woman shakes her head and laughs. "No, silly.. I knew from the very start that I'm gonna die and the sole purpose of my heart and eyes is to give someone a chance to live.." she said.
She pointed out the door and looks at Chenle sadly. "Are you sure you really wanted to enter that door? There's no going back if you go through it.." Chenle looks at him sadly. "I just felt tired having this bad heart condition on me.."
Suddenly, he heard a whisper coming from far away. "I love you, Lele.." his eyes widened in surprised. "Is that Jisung?" he stuttered. The woman smiled at her. "Before anything else, my name is Queenie.."
"You're Jisungie's ex-girlfriend! Now I felt really bad.." he sighed. Queenie laughs again before hovering her palm on Chenle's heart. "Don't feel bad, Chenle.. You and Jisung are meant for each other.. Remember that everything happens for a reason.." she smiled.
"Now, do you still want to go through the door? Because on this other side, your mother is waiting for you.. Your friends are waiting for you.. A good life is waiting for you.. And last, but not the least, Jisung is waiting for you.."
Chenle felt tears flowing from his eyes while he hugs Queenie really tight. "Thank you for everything, Queenie.." The woman smiled at her again before giving a gentle peck on his forehead. "Now, off you go.. Everyone is waiting for you.. I shall watch over you and Jisung.. Always and forever.."
After pulling away, Chenle disappeared on her arms. She smiled, before walking again on the beautiful field of flowers. "Such a cute kid.." she smiled.
Back at the hospital room, Jaehyun is still doing CPR to revive Chenle. A minute had already passed, and he's still not losing up. Suddenly, Chenle's heart starts to beat again, the vital signs monitor showed that his condition is slowly going back to normal.
Everyone was stunned at first. They all clapped, feeling very happy that they had successfully revived the smaller. Jisung and Taeyeon looks at each other, before engulfing on a sweet hug.
They immediately rushed to Chenle's side, seeing that the boy is alive and breathing again. Taeyeon grabbed Chenle's hand and caressed it softly. "Thank you for not giving up and for not leaving me, Lele.." she smiled happily.
