"Yoongi-"
"Nope."
Yoongi raised a brow and stood from the kitchen table and strolled to the couch, where he pushed himself down onto the cushions. He picked up the remote and turned the channel as he engaged in ignoring Jimin.
Jimin then turned to Hoseok who only shook his head at him before walking away to join Yoongi on the couch.
Jimin could only sigh as he dropped his head against the oak wood dining table, groaning as he found it next to impossible to deal with his boyfriend's. He lifted his head as he glared at them before taking into consideration that they were his closest friends before boyfriend's, and owing to this fact, he would approach them in a disturbing manner and be utterly consistent until they complied and spoke to him properly.
Jimin pushed his chair out, a loud scratching sound emitted from the action before he stood from the chair and stormed up the Hoseok and Yoongi- standing in front of the television to block their view.
"We are not done talking." He declared sternly.
"We are." Yoongi muttered as he relaxed into the couch, curling up into the corner of the couch, trying to make himself smaller.
"Guys, please. Come on, you guys wouldn't even be on our mind when we were trying to comfort Jungkook. Don't you think this is quite selfish? You're mad because you weren't there?"
Hoseok scoffed. "No Jimin. We're not mad that we weren't there, we're mad because we weren't told about Kook. Jimin, we had to find out by Jungkook suddenly getting himself all worked up then passing out while Yoongi and I were left to look after him. How would you feel if that had been you in our position? Baby, I know you wouldn't like it and neither do we."
Jimin could only tug at the sleeve of his shirt. He knew that he had no power to go against what Hoseok had said, and for that reason exactly, he pursed his lips and diverted his attention to the rings on his fingers.
"I'm sorry," He mumbled as he continued to look down at his hands. "Jungkookie didn't want us to tell you because-"
Yoongi flung his legs out and motioned to stand up, right in front of Jimin and sighed.
"So now what Jungkook wants take priority over what he needs?" He shook his head and scoffed. "I'm going to bed."
Jimin squeezed his eyes shut as he shrunk at the sound of Yoongi's cold, deadpan tone. He felt so small in that moment. He gripped onto his index finger and begun to dig his nails into his skin as he chewed his bottom lip in anticipation for what was to come next.
Hoseok sighed as he stood up next and snaked an arm around Yoongi's waist as he pulled him back. "Yoongi, stop. That's enough. Min baby, just give us some space okay? We're not mad at you-"
Without warning, Yoongi grabbed Hoseok's arm and threw it off him. He gave Jimin one last bored look, before trudging up the stairs to the bedroom, closing the door behind himself with such little effort, the door just closed. He kicked his sliders off and fell onto the bed, face buried in the mount of pillows as a unanticipated wetness flooded his eyes.
He felt alienated by his friends and Jimin. It was as if the only person he could seek comfort in was Hoseok, but even he was trying to restrict him, and it pained him.
Of course he knew that the sadness he harboured was no match for Jungkook's slow deterioration of his dependence on little space but it hurt. The young man had always had underlying feelings of worthlessness and isolation that stemmed from his well treated depression, but it never truly went away. As time goes by, you only learn how to deal with it better than you had. It was only recently that he decided that he no longer needed his meds, but as of now he was questioning his decision to stop taking them even though he was feeling much content and in control of his emotions.
But all he needed was a push- a small push that could completely throw him of the wagon of control, and fall into emotional dependence on his meds as well as therapy sessions. He loved to share his emotions with Jimin and Hoseok, but this was one thing he'd rather nor share with them.
The bed sunk on Yoongi's right side and hand rested on his lower back. "Baby, speak to me. What's up? Tell me what's really the matter."
Yoongi lifted his head from the pillows and turned to face Hoseok. He saw Jimin stood in the far corner by the door and could only shake his head as sobbed begun to rack his body senseless. Hoseok shuffled closer to Yoongi and engulfed him in his warm, comforting embrace. Hoseok pecked the top of his head and muttered, "Don't worry sweetheart. We'll get through this together."
"I- I'm sorry." Jimin choked out as his eyes clouded with tears.
Hoseok turned to look at Jimin. "Min-ah. Come here, babe. I don't want you to stand there and suffer by yourself. You know we care angel- come here."
In a matter of seconds, Jimin had run up to Yoongi and Hoseok and wrapped his arms around the two while Hoseok rubbed circles into their upper backs and pecked the top of Jimin's head.
"Its okay babies. Its okay..."
Hoseok's heart shook with immense feelings of worry and sorrow. He had seen how stressed and tearful Yoongi had been when Jungkook suddenly fell into a panic attack- it was clear he was too fretful to comprehend what to do. Hoseok was quick to point this out and instantly took control of the situation. From that moment, he saw Yoongi back away and run up the stairs, not forgetting to slam the bedroom door. He hadn't brought it up, but he knew he should.
"Yoongi baby. I'm gonna need you to be honest with me. Okay? Think you can do that?" Hoseok spoke softly as he stroked the back of Yoongi's black locks.
The distressed man could only find it within himself to nod into Hoseok's broad chest.
Hoseok drew in a deep breath, full of suspense. "Are you off your meds? Be completely honest or I won't hesitate to take you to the hospital."
"Yeah..." The small man managed to croak out.
"Wh- what?" Jimin called out as he lifted his head from Hoseok's chest while Hoseok closed his eyes as he mumbled curses under his breath before opening his eyes again.
"Jesus Yoongi- why? You know full well why you take antidepressants yet you just decided it was best to just stop taking them? What- because you felt better? Like you didn't need them? Baby, I am so sorry to have to tell you this, but this isn't one of those things that you can decide for yourself. You need a professional to deem you healthy enough to slowly come off your meds, not for you to just stop taking them all together. You know that it takes at least two weeks of taking them for you to feel any effect. I know, that I can't possibly know what this is like for you, but having to see you suffer and- and like this- by yourself. Baby, its heartbreaking."
Yoongi body shook with instant feelings of regret, remorse and guilt.
He gulped thickly. "I'm sorry Hobi."
"Don't apologize Yoongi. I wasn't looking for a apology and you have nothing to feel sorry about. If anything, I'm sorry I didn't spot the changes in your behaviour earlier. Where are your meds now?" He questioned as he patted Yoongi's back lightly.
Jimin rested a hand on Yoongi's lower back, and to his surprise, he didn't fight against his touch. "I think I saw them in the bathroom cabinet last..."
Hoseok gave a small nod of understanding.
"Good. Because first you're," He uttered at Yoongi. "Going to take two doses of them and then we're going to get to the bottom of why you really stopped taking them. Hm?"
___________
i'm sorry, i really have no idea how a person responds to being off antidepressants so i went on the nhs website and waffled up this bullshit 🤷🏽
