i. Stand back from that yellow warning line. Do not let curiosity turn endless possibilities into simple what could have beens.

ii. Think about what you would do to keep your loved ones safe and know what you do to them each time you pick up that blade.

iii. Imagine them being the one to find you and throw those thoughts away. They will tear you apart if you let them. It will tear them apart if you don’t. And you’d do anything to keep that from happening.

iv. Remember how it felt to watch grandmère cry and know that someone would miss you enough to feel that for the rest of their lives. You could not put them through that again.

v. You do not want to test the reaction time of drivers at night.

vi. There is more to life than this emptiness whose roots have made their home inside your hollowed chest.

vi. Someday it will not hurt so much to breathe, and you will not have to fight back tears at the sound of his name.

vii. There is so much of the world left to explore and so many more dreams left to conquer.

viii. Anxiety does not define you. You are in control of how you feel.

ix. It is okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes, but do not let the voices claw their way back behind your ribs and convince you that you deserve to feel like this.

x. Do not let your demons convince you that it is best kept deep inside. Burying the pain might seem easy, but it’s what will kill you in the end.

xi. It is okay to let yourself feel, just remember to give yourself time to heal.

xii. You are worth so much more than you let yourself believe. And they would not be better off without you, no matter what the voices say.
