My first day... Urgh.

                                                        ~*~

I heard the screaming and wailing in the bathroom. Well, so much for my first day.

Analisa was pounding on the door. I haven't really got used to her being my sister, but I got back to my senses and pounded on the door with her.

"Go away!" shouted Gillian's raw voice. "I mean.. come in."

I felt a little uneasy when Analisa pushed open the door. It creaked a little on its hinges as it swung, admitting Gillian in an open cubicle. Her hair was a matted mess and her face was wet with tears. She was clutching her knees as she knelt. The bolt of the cubicle was pushed carelessly aside.

Analisa rushed forward and put her arms around the sobbing Gillian. I hovered awkwardly in the background as they hugged.

At last, I decided to speak. I coughed a little loudly between Gillian's sobs and said, "Are you okay?"

        "No," she said hoarsely.

        My question was so lame.

"Well, I know you have feelings for Francis," said Analisa soothingly (she was much better at this). "But, go, see what he feels."

"He treats me as his sister," Gillian's voice cracked.

"Ask him about it," said Analisa.

It was so awkward, so I decided to leave. I mumbled an excuse and stepped out of the bathroom, bumping into Dan, who was eavesdropping at the door.

        "Oh!" I exclaimed.

        "Shhh!" gasped Dan.

        "Let's get Francis," I said.

"No!" said Dan. "Men do not work like that."

"Boys...," I muttered under my breath.

As I said it, Tree turned the corner and caught sight of us.

"Boys?" asked Tree. "We're young princes. Boys are rogues."

        I rolled my eyes.

"Anyway," continued Tree. "I have another note for your lovely sister."

I groaned. Analisa had thrown hot tantrums when she received the first one. She had proposed to squeeze him to death if she received another one. Tree had given her notes every day for the past year.

"No thanks, Mr. Prince," I sighed.

Tree nodded approvingly at the 'Mr Prince' and rushed forward over, alarming me and stuffed the note in my hand.

"This is not working," I said.

Suddenly, the door opened and I was pushed forcefully away by it.

"D-Dan?" Analisa was framed by the door with Gillian standing behind. "Di? Tree? What are you doing?"

"That's none of my business," said Tree hastily, blushing like a beet-root, and ran as his cheeks did their work.

"Well," Dan said, biting his lips and backing away.

"We'd leave you alone if you like," I said, catching Dan's eyes. I turned around with him at the same moment and ran.
