A few months later, 20th of July 1991,
Michael and Veronica had spend nearly everyday together the last few months, either at the restaurant or at the studio, where Veronica met the recording crew, Michaels manager and a few guys of the security team she hadn't met yet at the restaurant
Bailey spend the last few months at Michaels Ranch working on her book and enjoying the peaceful environment, she did come to Pasedena for a weekend once a month to catch up with the other's (Desmond, Michael and Veronica)
"And? What do you think?" Bailey asked Michael who just finished reading her latest work in progress while they enjoyed some red wine Bailey found in the kitchen at the Pasedena house
"I'm glad she's finally freed from her zombie curse " Michael answered while Bailey handed him a new glass of wine
"It's the last book of the zombie bride series" Bailey sighed and took a big gulp of her wine "The last book Matthew knew I wrote" she sniffed
"No, No, No, he will know about your future books too" Michael told her
"But he can't tell me what he thinks about it anymore" Bailey sniffed and finished her glass of wine "I might just quit writing" she sobbed and reached for Michaels glass too
"No you'll not become an alcoholic" Michael told her and made sure she couldn't reach the glass
"But my husband is dead!" Bailey yelled at him
"Yeah well he was my best friend!" Michael reminded her
"He should be the father of my child one day" Bailey cried
"And the godparent to my children one day" Michael mentioned quietly
"Why did he have a stroke?" Bailey sniffed wiping her tears
"I don't know" Michael sighed
"Have I ever thanked you for not abandoning me?" Bailey asked
"Of course I won't abandon you, you're family to me" Michael answered
A loud thud in the hallway followed by a "Ouch" interuppted them
"Everything Ok?" Michael asked assuming it's Veronica
"Yes" Veronica answered and limped her way into the livingroom
"What happened?" Michael asked
"I fell over some sneakers in the hallway" Veronica answered and sat down on the couch
"Sorry, those are mine" Bailey apologized
"Did you break something?" Michael asked Veronica
"I don't know, probably not" Veronica answered lifting her leg to check mobility
"You do need to ice it" Bailey mentioned and went to the kitchen looking for an ice pack or something frozen to put on Veronica's ankle while checked if her ankle wasn't broken
"It feels warm and it's starting to swell" Michael mentioned to Veronica while holding her ankle
"It hurts a little too" Veronica answered
"Here, I found some frozen meat and wrapped it in a towel for you to wrap around your ankle" Bailey mentioned
"Thank you" Veronica replied while Michael secured the towel with the frozen meat around her ankle
