Sunday night a week later, August 11 1991,

Veronica had been busy all week, she hired two new chefs, so they could both have a day or two off in the week and when one of them would be sick there's a back up too

She also hired a new waitress and rearranged the table setting, so each section has two tables extra instead of one waitress needing to have two sections

Veronica was doing one of her rounds to check up on the guests if they enjoyed the food, she chatted a little with the regular guests here and there before moving on to the next table

Around midnight the last guests left and a half hour later Veronica locked the doors and made her way 'home'

Meanwhile, at the backseat of the SUV on it's way from LA to Pasedena

"Thank you so much for your help earlier" Bailey smiled hugging Michael who helped her to get her publisher to agree to a new deal, where Bailey gets to decide when she's finished with a book instead of them, once her current book will be finished

"Of course I'd help you, you're family" Michael replied

"Do you want to go with me tommorrow to look at few houses with me and my real estate agent? You're good at those things" Bailey asked

"Um sure, what time is your appointment?" Michael asked

"Around two in the afternoon" Bailey mentioned  "Why? Do you have plans in the morning?" She asked

"Maybe, I mean I want to surprise Nica with a mini vacation of her choice" Michael answered

"Nica? Are you dating someone? Who's this 'Nica' girl?" Bailey asked

"Nica as in Veronica, you know the general manager at Clarke's kitchen aka my roommate and yes my girl too" Michael answered

"Bu- What? Since when? Why her? Just why?" Bailey questioned

"Since that morning after when she hurt her ankle because she fell over your sneakers" Michael answered

"So you guys are like dating for almost a month? Why didn't you say something?" Bailey asked

"I kind of...I don't know forgot to? Basically only Veronica's mother and my parents know" Michael answered shrugging his shoulders

"You would've told Matthew" Bailey mentioned not knowing what hurt more Michael not telling her he's with Veronica now or the fact he's with Veronica now

"I wouldn't have to, he would've noticed I liked her before I even would admit it to myself I like her" Michael replied

"Why Veronica tho? I thought you didn't date your employees or blondes and Veronica is both your employee and blonde" Bailey reminded him

"I know and well I didn't plan to break my own policy but it just happend" Michael replied shrugging his shoulders

"Yeah right it just happend, just make sure she loves you for you not for your money" Bailey mentioned while the car slowed down and stopped at her brother's place since she was still staying there for the moment

"Bailey, you know Veronica she isn't a goldigger nor does she want to be in the spot light or needs any favors like that" Michael told her

"Don't say I didn't warn you when she's trapping you with a baby to live off of the child support the rest of her life" Bailey told him before she got out of the car, slammed the door and made her way inside the building her brother lives at

"Where the fuck did that come from?" Michael wondered and shook his head before telling his driver to drop him off at the Pasedena house

---

Arrived at the house he thanked his driver and made his way inside the house while the car drove off

"Veronica are you hom-" Michael began and found her asleep on the couch and an empty tea mug on the coffee table

He carefully carried her to the bedroom and gently placed her on the bed before he joined her and also fell asleep

---

The next morning,

"So are you busy this week?" Michael asked Veronica while they enjoyed their breakfast in bed

"Not more as usual, why?" Veronica asked while adding some more bacon on her egg sandwich and took a bite

"So you can take the rest of the week off to go on a little trip with me?" Michael asked her

"Did I miss something in your schedule? I didn't see a trip planned, is it an important bussines meeting? Or a fan meet and greet thing? Or charity related?" Veronica asked wondering how she could've missed something so important in his shedule

"No, it's a nice surprise for my beautiful girl, where do you want to go?" Michael replied and smiled at her

"I....oh..." Veronica replied, not knowing what to say

"Just pick a place, preferably something not too crowded with tourists" Michael mentioned

"I kind of get scared in a plane" Veronica replied "But it's a sweet gesture" she smiled at him

"We won't be travelling with a overcrowded airline plane, a private Jet is way more comfortable as a economy ticket place in a airline plane" Michael mentioned

"Probably true but what if I'm still scared?" Veronica asked

"I'll distract you" Michael answered  "So what's your dream vacation spot?" He asked

"Oh...um...I've always wanted to go to Europe" Veronica answered

"Because you were born in a Irish pub in Ireland?" Michael asked her

"No because my friend Hannah lives in London and she wants me to see her hair salon in person one day" Veronica replied

"I'll deffently show you London one day" Michael promised  "But how about I'll show Italy first?" He asked

"Um ok" Veronica nodded

"Ok I'll pick you up tonight at the restaurant, around ten thirty so we'll fly out at max midnight" Michael mentioned

"I'll need time to pack my suitcase too" Veronica replied

"I'll take care of that" Michael promised

"Are you sure?" Veronica asked

"Yes, you just focus on the restaurant so they can survive a few days without you and let me take care of spoiling my girl" Michael told her and sweetly kissed her

"You're so sweet" Veronica smiled and stole another kiss before she got ready to leave for work
