The next morning,
By the time Veronica woke up again, after going back to bed when she threw up twice early in the morning and once more after they visited the doctor
"They'll call as soon as they know something" Michael mentioned helping Veronica to the living room
"I don't want to close the restaurant, the damage will be catastrophic if it's food poisoning, it's the worse that can happen to someone in the restaurant bussines" Veronica sniffed "I'll be out of a job forever, I mean who wants to work with the general manager that worked at the place that was closed for food poisoning" she cried
"Honey, calm down, maybe it's something else, you could have a stomach bug or the flue or maybe a burnout from working too many hours" Michael told her
"I hope so" Veronica sniffed
"You're the first person I met that will be happy with the flue or a burnout" Michael smiled at her
"Because that means I don't have to close the restaurant" Veronica replied
"Everything will be ok, I promise" Michael mentioned
"I hope you're right" Veronica sighed placing her head on his shoulder while he wrapped his arm around her
"And you'll still have your job as my Personal assistant if you quit the restaurant bussines" Michael mentioned
"I won't quit the restaurant bussines, it's in my blood" Veronica told him
"I know and you're good at what you do" Michael complimented her

While they enjoyed each other's company the phone rang, interrupting ther peaceful and quiet moment
"I'm not answering, what if they found something scary in my blood work" Veronica gasped seeing it was the doctor that called and handed the phone to Michael who put the phone on speaker before answering
"I've good news, it's not food poisoning or anything scary" The doctor began
"But the tiredness that could be low blood pressure or high? Or iron shortage, you can see that right?" Veronica asked
"It's non of that, your blood tested positive for-" The doctor answered
"How long do I have left?" Veronica interrupted her, thinking the worse
"That I don't know, but for your pregnancy eight months and you'll meet the baby" The doctor told her
"Wha...the... ..What?" Veronica gasped
"You're about a month pregnant" The doctor replied
"A-are you sure?" Michael asked while Veronica froze, she couldn't believe what she heard
"Yes, I'll make sure to drop off pregnancy vitamins later today and some information folders about do's and don't's during the pregnancy" The doctor answered
"Thank you" Michael replied
"I can't be pregnant can I?" Veronica asked Michael once he hung up the phone
"But you are, we'll be parents in eight months" Michael smiled at her
"Oh my gosh there's another human growing inside of me" Veronica gasped and looked down at her stomach "What if... Will the scar stretch? What if it rips open once the baby starts growing bigger? Is it even completely healed?" She panicked
