Later that day,

Once Matthew could leave the hospital the four of them drove to Michaels parent's house

"No, what if she hates me?" Matthew asked "Don't do this to me I love her, she's like my mother, but better since she actually raised me as her own" He continued, he didn't want to break Katherine's heart or have her dislike him since he's the result of her husband's affair with her friend and neighbor

"Mother loves you don't worry she won't throw you out, Joseph has to leave I'm sure" Michael replied

"What if she sees me as her husband's mistake? I can't live with the thought of mama K hating me" Matthew sighed

"It's mother you're talking about, she loves you like she birthed you, remember she said you'll always have a home if you needed one?" Michael reminded him

"Yes she even told me not to break your heart when we were just dating" Bailey added

"Oh I don't know..... Everything will be a shock, I'm not dead and I'm her husband's child now" Matthew replied

"Well I'm going inside the house the baby is really pushing my bladder right now" Veronica interrupted them and left the car

"And I'm going inside the house too" Bailey mentioned and followed Veronica

"You'll still accept me if mama K doesn't?" Matthew asked

"Yes, now come on I'm sure she knows I'm here and wonders why I'm not in the house yet" Michael mentioned and also got out of the car and waited for Matthew who took a few deep breaths and also finally got out of the car

--- Meanwhile inside the house,

Katherine hugged both girls and was happy to see them

"Michael said y'all are having dinner with us" She smiled "If my husband will be home for dinner, he left earlier after a phone call that seemed important and hasn't been back yet" She mentioned

"About that....um" Bailey began "Um.. " she struggled and looked at Veronica hoping she could break the news to Katherine "Could you?" she asked Veronica

"I think it's best if you sit down, let's all sit down" Veronica mentioned

"Did something happen?" Katherine asked

"Not to your husband or children" Veronica assured her

"To my grandchildren? Did something happen to your baby?" Katherine asked and looked at Veronica's babybump

"No, it's Matthew, it turned out he was in a coma for two years and he recently woke up and today it was confirmed by DNA testing he really is Matthew and we saw him at the hospital today" Veronica explained

"But how?" Katherine asked shocked to hear the news

"The DNA matched to his mother Sheila Clarke and to his father" Veronica answered

"Jacob, that's his name, they were our neighbors" Katherine mentioned

"No the DNA of Matthew's father matched to your husband" Veronica replied

"No Sheila would never do to that to Jacob and she was my friend, we were pregnant at the same time, I was two months pregnant with Michael when Sheila became pregnant with Matthew" Katherine sniffed "It was her only child and her first pregnancy so I helped her a lot during her pregnancy and when Matthew was born, just two months after I gave birth to Michael" She continued "And because they were so close in age they shared a crib when Sheila was at our house during the day when Jacob was at work providing for their little family" She remembered "Not once did I think she'd betray Jacob or me like that" She shook her head "Sheila and Joseph weren't even that close, or so I thought"

"I'm so sorry I was the one to tell you" Veronica told her

"It's not your fault honey, you didn't cheat on me, my husband and neighbor who I thought was my friend did" Katherine mentioned and hugged her, carefully to not hurt her babybump "Is Matthew here too?" she asked

"Yes" Matthew who stood in the doorframe with Michael replied, they watched Veronica break the news to Katherine when Bailey couldn't

"Come here let me hug you and feed you, you must be starving after two years of hospital food via an IV stuck in your arm" Katherine mentioned and pulled Matthew in a motherly hug when he made his way to her

----

Once they all had dinner and desserts, all home made by Katherine, Veronica went to lay down to take a nap, the baby and the eventful day worned her out and Bailey was worn out too, she still couldn't believe her husband was back

While the girls were having a nap Michael Matthew and Katherine sat down in the living room

"Has any of you seen Joseph?" Katherine asked

"Bailey saw him at the hospital earlier but he was already gone when I arrived since they called me because I was informed when Bailey was at the hospital and fainted" Michael answered "He's damn lucky he was gone by then already" He scoffed

"Michael, language" Katherine scolded him "And let me handle your father, I'm his wife" She added

"I'd understand it if you no longer wish to be his wife" Michael mumbled "I'll find you the best divorce lawyer and make sure he ends up living under the bridge" He continued, bitterly

"No, you know I don't believe in divorce" Katherine reminded him

"It's a justified divorce, your husband isn't faithful to you" Michael reminded her

"No, we're not have this discussion again" Katherine told him since he suggested the same when they found out about Joseph's other dauther a few years ago

"Fine" Michael sighed

"Anyway, what are you going to do now?" Katherine asked Matthew

"I'm hoping to go back to the restaurant, I mean if Veronica let's me, she seems to be good at what she does, Michael said the restaurant has been more successful as its ever been and the staff and customers loves Veronica too" Matthew replied

"She's a sweetheart I'm sure she'd love your help, especially now when she's pregnant and once she has the baby"  Katherine told him

"Yes and she finally will be able to work normal hours if you're back, she makes sixty to eighty hours a week" Michael added

"Wow I didn't even make that many hours" Matthew gasped

"Told you Veronica is committed to her job" Michael replied

"She surly is" Katherine agreed

"She seems nice, I mean it's obvious she truly loves you" Matthew mentioned to Michael

"And I truly love her too" Michael replied
