"What happened?" A worried Fiona asked, seeing Michael carry Veronica and gently placing her on a bench next to his parents and Fiona who were getting to know each other since their kids are dating
"I fell, nothing serious" Veronica answered
"Nothing serious? Your ankle could be broken" Michael replied
"I think it's sprained, not broken, it's the same feeling when I tripped over Bailey's shoes that night a week ago" Veronica told him
"Y'all having a sex triangle?" Joseph asked raising his brow at Veronica and Michael
"Joseph" Katherine shook her head at her husband and lightly slapped his arm
"What? The younger generation expresses themselves with sex right?" Joseph replied
"I don't share my man" Veronica stated
"Yeah and I'm not sharing my woman either" Michael added
"Aww you two are so cute together" Fiona beamed
"Could you help me get some ice for my ankle?" Veronica asked
"No, you stay here and I will get you some ice" Michael told her and went inside the house
"Such a gentleman" Fiona smiled
"Stop crushing on my boyfriend" Veronica grumbled softly
"Did you say something sweetie?" Fiona asked, not hearing what her daugther said
"I asked if you have a nice time here" Veronica replied with a fake smile
"M-hm" Joseph smirked, he did hear what she mumbled
"Yes, I've met almost everyone today" Fiona mentioned happily
"I can introduce you to my other children and grandchildren if you like" Katherine suggested and took Fiona with her to introduce her to the people she hasn't met yet
"So your mother is the fan and you really like my son for who he is as a person?" Joseph asked Veronica
"Yes I like your son for who he is as a person, I didn't kiss him because he is famous" Veronica replied
"You're a great girl, I like you, I mean you're really genuinely interested in my son unlike other women he dated" Joseph complimented her, showing his caring side, cause at the end of the day all he wants is his kids to be happy, like every parent
"In the relatively short time I'm dating your son, Michael has shown me more kindness and romance than my previous relationship that lasted fifteen years" Veronica mentioned
"Found the ice" Michael who came back mentioned, interuppting them and wrapped the ice pack around Veronica's ankle
"Thank you" Veronica smiled at him

Around 9 PM most family left, avoiding to clean up the left over snacks and empty glasses and other dishes, including Fiona who got a ride back to the city because she had a flight to catch at midnight back to Honolulu
"I'll go back with Desmond, I've a meeting with my publisher tommorrow afternoon" Bailey mentioned to Michael when Desmond was talking outside with Veronica
"You'll come back after the meeting or do you want the Pasadena house for yourself?" Michael asked her
"If it's ok with you I'd like to come back here, I kind of don't want to leave anyway" Bailey replied
