A month later, January 14 1992, A month before Michael and Veronica's wedding day
"I hope I still fit in that dress next month" Veronica mentioned while dipping a pickle in chocolate sauce before taking a bite
"How do you eat that?" Bailey cringed
"I don't know I've this weird craving for sweet chocolate and sour pickles at the same time" Veronica shrugged her shoulders and took another bite "One of the benefits of working in a restaurant they have all my cravings in stock" She smiled taking another bite after dipping the pickle in the chocolate sauce again
"True" Bailey agreed "Well I gotta go, I've a meeting with a lawyer, probably the polisher wants to make a new book deal or something, I don't know" She mentioned and shrugged her shoulders
"Goodluck" Veronica answered
"Thank you" Bailey replied before she left
---
Once Bailey left Veronica finished her pickles with chocolate sauce and went back to the administration work at her desk
--- meanwhile,
"I don't know it's too formal" Michael sighed looking at the suit his sister La Toya picked out for his wedding day next month
"Uh duh it's your wedding day, you're supposed to be in formal wear" La Toya mentioned
"No, Veronica wanted a small non traditional style wedding, she told me she's not wearing a big poofy white dress or anything too fancy, so no I can't show up wearing a fancy three piece black tie event kinda suit" Michael replied
"Ugh why did you find a boring bride? Why couldn't you marry a girl that actually does want to wear an actual wedding dress?" La Toya sighed
"You do know not all wedding dresses are big white and puffy dresses, right?" Michael asked her
"I know but it's more fun to wear a dress like that on your wedding day, instead of a.. I don't know what she decides to wear" La Toya mentioned "I bet Bailey knows"
"All I know is Veronica said it'll be a comfortable dress... Since she's seven months pregnant next month" Michael replied
"Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" La Toya asked
"No, we didn't want to know" Michael answered
"So I've to wait until the little bit is born to find a stylish outfit for him or her" La Toya asked
"Yup" Michael nodded
"I found adorable outfits though" La Toya smiled
"I'm sure you did" Michael shook his head and smiled at her
"A baby with your genes and my fashion advise is going to be a pretty little thing" La Toya smiled
"The baby is half Veronica too, remember" Michael reminded her
"So? It might have her eye color or something but have you seen our nieces and nephews? They all have our genes we have strong genes in the family, even Matthew had a little bit of us in him and he was sort of adopted so our genes must've rubbed off on him too" La Toya mentioned
"You do know genes can't rub off on people, it's what you're born with" Michael told her
"I know, but you gotta admit Matthew did fit in with us" La Toya mentioned
"Because he practically grew up in our family, he spend more time with us than with his parents even before they died" Michael reminded her
"And even Joseph liked Matthew" La Toya mentioned
"He should've been my best man next month" Michael sighed, missing his best friend
"Like you were on his wedding day when he married Bailey" La Toya sighed
"Yes and we'd be the godparents to each other's kids too" Michael sighed
"He would've loved that" La Toya smiled
----
Bailey arrived at the lawyer's office and was met by a detective, a lawyer and a doctor, she assumed the third person was a doctor since the woman was wearing a white doctors coat
"Mrs Clarke?" The detective asked
"Yes, um what's going on? Did someone die? The last time I saw a lawyer, detective and a doctor in the same room was when my husband died" Bailey replied, fearing the worse
"Take a seat, please, it's important you sit down for what you're about to hear" The dective mentioned
"It's my parent's or my brother, right? Or all of them?" Bailey asked with tears in her eyes "What happened?" She sniffed
"No it's the opposite, nobody died" the doctor assured her
"What? Then what is going on?" Bailey asked
"Your husband, Mathew Jacob Clarke has woken up from a coma almost two months ago but they had to be sure and did some DNA testing and it's indeed confirmed the man who claimed to be Matthew Jacob Clarke is really who he said he is" The detective explained
"Wha.... Wai....What? That's not funny, what kind of sick twisted joke is this? Is it let's fool the grieving widow day?" Bailey snapped at them
"No, you see, both the guys who were brought in that day had similar back grounds, no actual blood related family or so we thought until recently and they both suffered from a stroke" The doctor explained
"No, your coworker told me my husband died on the operation table, I didn't even get to see my husband's body anymore because according to the doctors it was too terrifying to see since they were in the middle of a brain surgery" Bailey sniffed
"That's another mistake on their part, so if you want we can sue them" The lawyer mentioned
"I don't care about that, I just want to see my husband, where is he?" Bailey asked
"The hospital, we told him we would find you and then bring you to him" The doctor told her
----
Arrived at the hospital Bailey was confused to see Joseph there as well, in the same family room they told her to wait in while the doctor went to get Matthew from his room
"What are you doing here?" Bailey asked
"I was called earlier today, they said my son had woken up from a coma" Joseph replied
"What?" Both Bailey and Matthew (who walked into the room with assistance of the nurse) gasped
