Six months later, early December 1990

Bailey learned to live her life without her husband Matthew, of course she still misses him and thinks of him a lot but she knew she had to move on with her life and slowly started to write again, mainly re-reading what she wrote so far on her new book and changing a few things here and there while adding new storylines eventually

Michael learned to manage the restaurant by himself, taking a break from writing and producing music for now,  but he knew he needed to hire a general manager and last week he found someone and hired her, the last six months he made sure Bailey got Matthew's half of the money they made and promised he'd continue to do that even when the new general manager was found

Tuesdays and Thursdays were the nights Michael and Bailey catched up, they kept their promise of staying in touch, clearing their schedules for the Tuesday's and Thursdays

"So how's the new general manager doing their job?" Bailey asked refilling their wine glasses and handed Michael his before taking a sip of her own glass

"It's different, I mean Veronica probably is good at what she does since the staff and customers like her but she's not Matthew" Michael answered

"You don't like her?" Bailey asked curiously

"As a person? I don't know since whenever I speak her it's only about the restaurant, thankfully she acts professionally around me instead of fainting" Michael answered

"And you like her as in appearance?" Bailey asked, curiously

"I don't know, I hired her for her skills and expierence not the looks" Michael answered

"She's the tall blonde with the really long hair right?" Bailey asked

"Yes and very much present neon pink nail polish" Michael added somehow it irritated him the too bright neon pink nail polish, it's so there, screaming for attention

"By the way when is the last time you had a girlfriend? I havent seen you with a date since my wedding day nearly six years ago" Bailey mentioned

"Cause the last nearly six years I didn't have a serious girlfriend" Michael sighed

"One night stands really? I didn't think you'd be the type for that" Bailey replied

"Neither did I but once your heart is broken you stop giving a fuck about emotions regarding a relationship with a significant other" Michael explained and finished his glass of wine

"But you're one of the good guys, don't let one ex stop you from finding your soulmate" Bailey told him

"It's not just one ex, it's all of them" Michael mentioned

"How many are we talking about?" Bailey asked

"Six or seven or so" Michael replied refilling his glass of wine

"All of them were serious?" Bailey asked finishing her wine before also refilling her glass

"Not really" Michael told her shrugging his shoulders

"Damn six or seven in six years" Bailey smirked

"Well that wasn't in six years that was my entire love life" Michael reminded her

"Wow I only have my ex and Matthew and that's it" Bailey replied

"But you found true love, not everyone is that lucky" Michael sighed

"You will too one day" Bailey told him

"You know you're truly a great friend" Michael told her

"So are you" Bailey smiled at him

"Thank you, you're too kind" Michael answered

"Just stating the facts" Bailey smiled

"Anyway, how's the new chapter going?" Michael asked changing the subject

"I kinda have a writer's block at the moment" Bailey sighed  "But don't worry I could use a little break for now" she added

"You haven't really been out of the house the last six month's have you?" Michael asked

"I did groceries" Bailey told him

"Desmond told me he hasn't seen you since the funeral" Michael told her, referring to her younger brother Desmond

"Did he forget where I live?" Bailey asked raising her brow

"Don't ask me, ask your brother" Michael replied

"I'll call him tomorrow" Bailey sighed "Does he still work at the restaurant?" She asked

"Yes Desmond still works at the restaurant, mainly helping out the waitresses and doing the dishes at the moment but he can't wait to be twenty one and become the new barman like Matthew promised him" Michael answered

"Matthew was too nice to give Des the job anyway" Bailey shook her head

"You'd like it better if he ended up joining a gang?" Michael asked raising his brow at Bailey

"Of course not, but it's just..." Bailey sighed

"You're still mad your parents blamed you for Desmond dropping out of school?" Michael asked finishing her scentence

"Yes! I mean they said it's my fault because I never went to college because 'writing fantasy stories' was more important, little do they know my 'fantasy stories' are bestsellers right now" Bailey shook her head

"You haven't told them you're Miss BC (Bailey Clarke) Thriller the best selling horror author of the century?" Michael asked, slightly surprised

"No, they think I work at an editors agency editing someone else's work, they probably dont even read Miss BC Thriller's books" Bailey mentioned "By the way people still think my author's name is inspired by your song or album" she shook her head

"I needed a name for my album and song and I saw your ideas on a notebook and the name Thriller sounded good" Michael mentioned shrugging his shoulders

"And even tho my first book came out a week before your album I'm still supposedly inspired by your song" Bailey shook her head

"Yeah I'm still surprised it's not the other way around since I'm always having your books with me wherever I go" Michael answered

"I think partly because of that people buy my books" Bailey mentioned

"No they buy your books because they're awesome, they don't buy them because I read them" Michael told her

"You know some people even think you're behind my books because they still haven't figured out who Miss BC Thriller is" Bailey replied

"Why in the world would I refer to myself as a woman?" Michael shook his head, damn tabloids and their sick fantasies he thought shaking his head again

"Tabloids make up the weirdest shit" Bailey shook her head, they may not know her real name and face but they write stuff about her other self Miss BC Thriller too, some even go as far as saying she keeps her identity a secret because she's an actual zombie like her main character

"I know" Michael sighed rolling his eyes, tired of the same old bull shit tabloids make up
