I Can't Believe It

"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."

Glynda finished her monologue, and the hologram disappeared. Ruby looked out the window in amazement.

"Wow. The view from Signal has nothing on this. Beacon's so far from home."

Yang walked up behind her and put her arm around Ruby's shoulder.

"Beacon's our home now."

The two had a nice moment together before Yang changed the mood. She began giving Ruby a choke hug.

"I can't believe my little sister is going to Beacon with me! You're gonna be the 'bee's knees.'"

Ruby removed herself from Yang.

"I don't want to be the 'bee's knees'. I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees."

"But you aren't normal."

The pair of them were interrupted by a certain blonde bumping into the pair of them. Said blonde was making gagging sounds.

"Oh! Yang, gross, you have puke on your shoe! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me!"

"Get it off! Get it off! Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!"

The pair of them were again interrupted by the bullhead landing on academy grounds. The blonde from earlier ran by everyone and started heaving into the trash can that was outside the docked bullhead.

Chris and Kas exited the bullhead together, following the crowd. Chris grabbed Kas's hand and led her aside.

"I am going to explore the grounds. You can tag along if you want."

"I think I will sit through orientation. Why are you "exploring" the grounds?"

"I will be mapping out the area in case I need a quick escape route."

Kas nodded her head and followed everyone to the place where the orientation would be held. Chris did as he said he would and mapped out the grounds. While mapping the grounds, Chris stumbled upon a tree overlooking Beacon Cliff. Being the fucking maniac that he is, Chris climbed the tree. Chris remembered that he brought stuff, but couldn't find it anywhere.

"Don't worry. Kas has our stuff."

Chris felt a small weight being added to his shoulder.

"If you're in my head, how come I can feel you?"

Eric took a moment to respond to the question.

"Well, you can feel us as though we are corporeal to make us seem more real."

"Fucktard! Why couldn't you figure this out on your own?"

"I'm guessing that you don't realize or remember that I don't think unless I need to."

"That is true."

"Anyone care to explain why y'all became a thing in the first place?"

Isabelle finally appeared, meaning that everyone was finally there. Hannah was the first to answer the question, or more like start the answer.

"We are here because you were lonely. Humans are social creatures, remember?"

The next person to add to the answer was Eric.
