Jack's POV:
I fly off through the skylight. I can't fight with them!
One has magic hair, but she's never even seen another person!
One's a crack shot: just ask my shoulder. Trust issues!
Hiccup I guess I could fight with. I mean, he has Painful, who can actually fight. But Blondie and Curly? Not a chance.
I'm halfway across the North Pole when I realize that Hiccup and Painful are chasing me and slowly gaining on me. I sigh.
"What?" I snap, turning and stopping suddenly mid-air to talk to him.
"I know that you don't want to come back, but Merida's gonna try not to shoot you, and she's educating Blondie so that she won't be so, naïve," he pants.
He almost crashes when I stop, but I don't even have the temptation to smirk. I'm still in denial, I guess. I mean, they're kids!
"Do I have to?" I groan.
Yup," he responds with a nod, popping the p in satisfaction. I glance at Painful and she shows me his teeth.
"Fine," I huff. "But know that you are now the glue of this team." He nods.
Merida's POV:
"Ooohh! So that's why it hurts when I see red liquid!" Oh my goodness! I am going insane!
"Finally!" I exclaim in relief as I see the boys returning.
"I don't know how much more of that I can handle!" Jack smirks at me.
"Well, I'll take the lessons as long as you won't shoot me. You can teach Hiccup how to fight." I look up, delighted.
"Ya! C'mon, let's go!" I drag Hiccup toward the door.
We reach a wide, open plain. After setting up targets, I show him some archery, and teach him hand to hand combat.
In no time, he's good enough to stand up for himself.
I'm actually a bit proud of my pupil. Now...
"Now, I deserve a ride on yur dragon," I demand. He shrugs.
"Sure."
I'm trying to stay calm, but I'm really excited about this. A real dragon!
Rapunzel's POV:
I'm soooo excited! I'm learning so much! I did feel bad for Merida though. I've already learned that she has a very limited patience.
Jack, on the other hand, is getting along with me really well. Even he's surprised.
We've spent hours reading through books. He's been telling me stories, and explaining even the simplest things.
I honestly did not take him to be the patient type. I guess it sorta makes sense though, since he's so good with children.
He has given me and Pascal our very own dictionary for when I want to look up something new. I could read through it all day! Who knew all this stuff was even out there?
And about Pascal. At first, he really didn't get along with Jack at all. But they grew on each other. Now, they're getting along so well, it's entertaining.
Bunnymund likes Pascal, too. As I'm quickly learning, Jack and Bunnymund despise each other. In a brotherly way.
I giggle to myself. This day has been sooo perfect!
"I honestly don't even want to go back to my tower," I mumble. They both freeze when I say that.
"What?" I ask, concerned.
"Here," Jack mumbles awkwardly, handing me a book.
"It's a true story about a kingdom near your tower: Corona. North added in the facts that no one else actually knows about the story," he says, turning his head and looking away.
"What is the problem?" I think. As I start reading, I understand. Pascal is reading over my shoulder.
First, I'm confused. Then, I slowly pale. Then, my anger starts to boil over, replacing my shock, horror and sadness. This is the story of the Lost Princess: Me.
How could anyone do this? Especially... I pay no attention to Jack and Bunnymund who are watching me with concern.
Just as I finish reading, Hiccup and Merida fly in on Toothless.
"That was awesome!" I faintly hear Merida exclaim.
I slam the book closed and storm outside in a rage. My whole entire life has been one big lie.
