Years ago, before I had even heard of Slenderman or Reddit, there was a story about him in my old neighborhood. Actually, we don't call him Slenderman, but some children reported seeing a tall, older man in a suit walking through the cemetery. There was a specific story told to me by a girl who was in college at the time. She was my older sister and she was telling me that one night she had gone on a skateboard and that I had to go through the cemetery.

She was see shadows following her, but she thought nothing weird until she came home and saw a tall, older man wearing a black suit standing in the backyard.

She ran inside and looked out the window to see him standing across the street, behind the trees. She said she didn't leave all night and that she saw him from time to time in the same place. There were so many other stories almost identical to hers in my neighborhood. Actually, I never saw anything and I am very happy that I have not seen anything. Now I live elsewhere. I wonder if there are still stories of him there.
