[Chapter 34]

"WAIT!" Someone yells.
My eyes slowly focus on a figure slowly running our way.
"Colby?" I mutter.
He looks very weak and tired, I could tell he was using everything in him to just make here.
As he approaches us he trips and falls, barely able to get up. He breaths heavily "s-stop!" He sorta yells.
Cole's eyes glow green before he chuckles.
"You used up a lot of your energy didn't You?" He laughed.
Colby coughed, trying to stand up but failing.
"Cause your mind blocks down" Cole says.
Oh no.
"L-leave Layla alone" Colby mutters, trying and trying to catch his breath.
He slowly crawls making his way towards me.
"Sorry Colby But, I cant do that. We made a deal. Her mind for her friends.
But... you being here sweetens the deal" he says.
"C-c-Colby" I say is a breathy whisper "l-leave"

"Oh but he can't" Cole says drawing a triangle on Colby's forehead as well
"No" I say, Trying to move.
Cole pushes Colby to the ground, and he rolls over landing right next to me.

"This makes things even better" Cole laughs.
"Colby" I whisper.
"Layla.. a-are you ok" he asks.
My eyes start to close.
"N-no" I whisper, as my eyes fully close, and my mind's engulfed in deep darkness..

*Colbys pov*

Layla's eyes close completely "layla? LAyLa!?" I yell.
A sharp pain hits me "ahh" I hiss.
"Looks like Layla's almost mine" Cole says laughing
"Ugh can I take Layla's powers yet?" David says growing impatient.
"Not just yet" Cole says "I haven't finished feasting" he kneels down next to me.
He looks over to Layla and strokes her hair.
I grab his hand and yank it away "d-don't touch her"
He rolls his eyes "I'll do as I please. Cause now I own her.. Well... her mind at least" he says standing back up "you know I actually did like Layla...
Buuut I like power more" he says.
"Monster" I groan, trying to regain my vision as a wave of dizziness hit.
He laughs "maybe I am... but. I'm a monster that won"
"AWWWWWOOOOOOOoooooooo"
"What's that" Cole says, looking around at his surroundings.
My eyes grow heavy and suddenly their closed, and I'm unaware of what's going on...

*sams pov*
*awhile after Colby left*

A sharp pain hits my head making me groan. I look around and see everyone the same way.
Slowly the pain secedes my mind clears, and I'm able to think.
"What... what happened" I groan "why does my face hurt?"
A wave of realization hits me... Cole, the imprint, Me and Colby fighting..

"We-" Corey starts.

"Oh no" I say

"Guys we need to find Layla and Colby.. NOW!" Jake yells
"Corey?" I ask
"Got them! They're in the woods!" He yells
I close my eyes and teleport us to their locations.
"There!" Liza whispers, positing to a small clearing
We all peek around a big boulder to see Layla unconscious on the ground looking very pale, and Colby struggling to move.
My heart drops.
I morph and look at everyone, they all nod and morph as well.

I howl, making our presence known.
Cole looks around, trying to find the source of the noise, but we were hidden.
We charge, I jump in front of Colby and Layla and growl at Cole.
"How did-" He starts.
We hear a small groan and I turn to see Layla's hand opened and in her palm was small shattered crystal's attaches to a necklace.
Cole puts his hand to his neck, realizing something was missing.
"That's sneaky girl" he growls.
I growl at him, making him back away a little.
"I still got what I want" he says, before David appears next to him.
Wait... David!?
He grins and they both disappear into smoke.
I morph back and look around, everyone was watching.
I turn around and kneel down next to Colby and Layla
"COLBY!" I yell shaking him, trying to wake him up "LAYLA! no no no no wake up... wake up! Pls!" ... nothing
"Corey whats wrong with them!?" I ask. He kneels down next to them and feels their forehead's, closing his eyes.
His eye pop back open "Cole has their minds..." he says
I look back down to them "how do we get them back?"
Corey picks up the shattered pieces of crystal and inspects them "Huh. These are containment crystal's... and I bet if they could hold our minds. They could hold theirs"
"But that would mean that Cole's holding the somewhere?"
He nods "we just don't know where"... "but I might know someone who might.."

"I laid them in Layla room" Kat says as she and Jake walk back to the living room.
"Ok. Corey?"

"Still trying to get ahold of her. " he says "oh she answered!" He yells
"Put it on speaker!" I say.
He nods and sets the phone on the table for all of us to hear
"COREY!" The little girl yelled through the phone.
"Mona! How you doing?"

"Good. Mom's being annoying though" she giggles.
"Yeah they can be like that sometimes" Corey laughs "hey I need a favor"

"Yes?"

"Do you know anything about containment crystals?" He asks.
She's silent for a moment before talking "why are you messing with those? Their very dangerous?"

"My friends are in danger and I need to know more about them" he says.

"Ok give me a min" She says

"Who is she?" I ask

"Mona's aWerewolf like us. I met her awhile back, she study's in mythology and knows all sorts of things. Oh and she's 12"
I nod

"Ok I found it!" She giggles returning to the phone.
"Ok it says here that containment crystals are used by a rare breed of werewolf called nix's. They use them to  trap the minds of others to suck off their energy and minds." She says.

"Ok does your book say anything about how to locate one?" He asks

"Umm it doesn't say much. All it says is that they need very cold temperatures to sustain the minds" she says.

"Ok. Thank you so much Mona. Talk to you soon!"

"Ok bye aunt Corey!" She giggles as she hangs up the phone.

"Aww She Sounds so cute!" Tara gushes.
"Yeah She is" Corey says smiling

"Ok somewhere cold? Where could he be keeping them?" I ask

"What about a lake? I know for a a fact that lakes are always! Freezing" Liza suggest.
"Omg your Right! Tara can you-" "got it! There a lake located in the middle of the forest!" She says looking at her computer
I smile "let's go get our friends back..
