The whole room was dark and the only lights were coming from the hundreds of holographic monitors displaying footages of the school in different angles, corners, and areas being recorded real-time.

He sat on his gaming chair as he stares at the monitors before him. He had remained still for the past few hours without even the leisure of blinking. Yet his eyes didn't turn bloodshot nor watery. They remain the same—emotionless.

The lights from the monitors project on his glasses as thousands of numeric digits flash on the lenses. These digits normally cannot be seen by the naked eye due to its microscopic size. Yet they continue to flash in an increasing speed as he continue to watch through the monitors.

Papers were scattered all over the floor and the table. In it, there were codes, numbers, and unusual symbols written in prints. In one corner, several candy and chocolate wrappers were irresponsibly littered. On the other side, an empty mug were left on a saucer. The remnants of a sweet drink have already dried on its bottom.

Depite the messy surrounding, he remain seated and focused on the monitors before him.

Makes you think, how could someone be so artificial yet humane at the same time?

A cloud of black mist starts to form in the middle of the room, just a meter away behind his seat. Soon the black mist thicken and shiny particles of gold that seems to have its own light starts appearing around the room; lighting some of its corners. And from the center of the cloud of black mist, she appeared.

"Your highness," he spoke—finally moving a muscle. He spin his seat around and face her. It is disrespectful to turn your back against her.

"Meow!" The black cat that seems to blend with the dark surrounding, also made sure that its presence is recognized.

"And Azrail," he referred to the cat to appease it. The cat seems satisfied as it leaps on the table and situation itself in a comfortable spot above the pile of papers.

The mist had already disappeared and so is the golden particles lingering in the air.

"It seems that something caught your attention," She spoke as her eyes went to the multiple monitor being displayed at the same time. He followed where she was looking at and she was looking at the three monitors whose only display is static.

"One of the newcomers were quite the odd guy," he replied to her. He turned around and face the monitors once again. She went and stand beside him to observe. Despite the absence of a keyboard and a mouse, the frames of the holographic monitors starts to move. A countable amount of frames came forward.

"This is the person I am talking about," he said. Each frame show a different angle yet only displays one thing. It was a footage of Ethan jumping down from the third floor and landing down completely unscathed.

"His name is Ethan Dashiell. Age? 18. Creaturehood? Human," He recited.

"That...does not look anything human at all," she replied as they continue to watch Ethan make his way through the pathwalks trying his best not to get caught by the Horizon Academy's security guards rounding the place.

"Yes," he agreed.

"Was he also the one responsible for that?" She asked while referring to the the same three monitors who continue to play static.
