In a recent turn of events, Shadowsan's joined Carmen's team, life for the group has become only a little more dangerous then usual, and Eileen's been gone for two weeks. No one was sure what to think or do, until she showed up one morning outside their new hideout dressed for a funeral and smoking a cigarette. With her mom gone, life as she knows it has been turned on its head, granting her stress and a cold disposition. Despite this, Carmen lets her back on the team, believing Shadowsan can help with her newly acquired short fuse. As he later reveals, he knows more about Eileen (and her mother) then she ever thought possible.

Back on V.I.L.E, Maelstrom has Eileen on the brain and the constant desire has made him sloppy, making it easier for Coach Brunt (and someone else) to take notice.
