"Hi Lily bug!"

I stuck my head into the living room. "Um hey, is everything okay?"

Mom sighed heavily and just glared at Dad.

"What's wrong?" I asked, as I came in and sat on the opposite couch.

"Your father surprised Holly at work today and outed her to her boss behind her back."

"How did you out her, Dad?"

"I told her boss that I'm Holly's father and showed him the adoption papers."

"Why would you do that?!"

"I wasn't thinking."

"Clearly," Mom said, rolling her eyes.

"Look I said sorry, alright?"

"Oh that fixes everything."

"Hey that wasn't nice."

"Well neither is what you did to my poor baby."

"Look, if I had a time machine, I would go back in time to this afternoon and stop myself from walking into the building today. But that's not possible yet."

"Yeah if only it was one of our options. But now we have a mess on our hands."

"Oh no, what else happened?" (I was nervous about Mom's answer.)

"Well not only did he do that, he also set up an interview for her to have us on her radio show on Friday. And to make matters even worse, he did these things before going to her office."

"No! Dad, please tell me you didn't."

"I'm so sorry, Lily. I'm afraid that your mother is right."

I closed my eyes and shook my head. "Wow that's low, Dad. You do realize that she will never forgive you for all this, right?"

"Yes I am aware, Lilian."

"You should've just asked her in private and not this mess. She had her reasons why she changed her name for work."

"That's what I told him. But Lily, how do you know that?"

"Hol and I have no secrets."

"So what does she know about you that we don't?"

Mom smacked Dad hard. "Stop meddling, Simon! That's how you got yourself in trouble with Holly. You do remember her wrath, right?"

"Yes, but she wouldn't dare to do that again."

"Don't underestimate her, Dad."

He sighed heavily.

Dad and Holly never saw eye to eye, but when Holly was a teen, they actually had a good relationship. But ever since she turned legal, something's changed. (In America being legal is eighteen years old.) Anyway, I don't know what happened between them. I've never gotten a straight answer out of either of them. So for about nine years now, they can't be in the same room without some sort of bickering starting up. Their fights are really petty and now Dad has made matters worse.

"Seriously Dad, why the hell did you do this?" (I normally don't cuss, so this shocked my parents.)

"I don't know how many times I'll have to say this. But I wasn't thinking."

"So how did you find out?"

"Yesterday I got an unanimous note to look up 104.9's website. I wasn't sure what I'd find there so I was beyond shocked when I saw Holly's twin. I was positive it was my daughter, but I wanted to make sure. So I clicked on the radio personalities tab and scrolled down to Holly's page. The moment the picture uploaded, I knew this was our Holly. But her name was Holly Philips. Do you know where she got that name from?"
