My Own Fame (Sequel to 'The Trap')

Dylan's POV Chapter 6

I felt like posting a chapter from each one of my stories today! This isn't nearly as long as the other one, Dylan doesn't write a lot. Hope you like it!

I've been thinking about moving for a while now and if I'm being honest, since my three sisters and I moved in our apartment. I know my parents love having extra hands and eyes on all of the children, but I know we have overstayed our welcome. Holly and Lily are on board with moving out with me. It was never my plan to leave them here. I love having the extra company, but don't I want my office and my room be one set of four walls, a window and a door anymore. 

In my spare time, I've been looking at listings in our general area and have even gone to a few open houses. One day, I received a call from Brandon Willis. He's one of Isaac's brothers and is obviously Sydney's brother-in-law too. Brandon and his other brother Jake are real estate realtors who specify in estates. The two guys had heard from both Isaac and Sydney that Lily, Holly and I are in the market for a new residence. I'm guessing that Lily had told Sydney because how else would she have known? I haven't told my parents anything about moving out because I want to have all of the answers to all their endless questions.

I do want my own estate someday, but we three don't make enough to afford a place like our parents. Granted, we aren't multi-millionaires like they are, but someday I do intend to take over Dad's company and take it into the next generation. I look forward to the day that I'll be the master of my own estate. So while I wait for my dreams to come true, we still need a new place to call home. 

Thankfully we all knew exactly what we wanted to live and we weren't in different spots around the greater area of L.A. We wanted to find a place somewhere between where our family currently is and where the village is located. It would be less of a commute for all our our careers, but also for Lily to be able to help Syd out more, for me to visit my girl more and for Holly to go visit Mason and Beth more. I don't really understand my sister's obsession with Bridget's parents, to be honest with you. It's not like Holly doesn't have her own set of parents and siblings. 

Anyway, I am my own man, but to make Bridget's father happy, we promised to stay out of downtown at all costs. Mason does understand that Holly and I work in that general area almost everyday, but we were forbidden to even look at properties there. I would never live downtown because it's so stressful and I want land too. So it was really simple to keep our word on that.   

Every time I think about moving out, I can't help but to think about my twin sister, Rochelle. We've been estranged for a few years now, but I still make the effort to call her at least once a month. I don't go to England as much I want to, so either calling or texting her is the only communication that we have right now. She seems to miss me loads, but she never calls me first. I figure that she's busy, but hell we're all busy. But at the end of the day, she's my sister and I love her. And even though we shared the womb for six or seven months, I still don't know why she really left America. 

One of the perks of being a twin is being to read them like an open book, but I can't figure her out anymore. I hope she'll tell me the truth someday. I would love to have her move in with us and be in each other's lives again. As her twin brother, I can't make that decision for her, but I can sure try and sway her vote. She and I are the only ones who have one hundred percent of the same genes. One day I hope to be as close to Rochelle as Holly and Lily are. I'm full aware that it's a long shot, but I'm willing to do anything and everything to get my twin back into my life.
