This is a short chapter about the love story between Dylan and Bridget. I just wanted to share their story.

I want to make a correction on my last entry. I'm very fond of my girlfriend's parents. But if I'm being totally honest, her father, Mr. Baker, terrifies me. He's very protective of his daughter and even though I've known him since I was a lad, it's different now that I'm the boyfriend. I appreciate him for looking out for her, but I'm the best boyfriend that she has ever had. I don't mean to sound cocky, but I'm also her only boyfriend too.
The family dinners that we have on Sundays usually go well, but in light of the confession that I made the night prior at the bar, I thought Bridget's parents could see the guilt in my eyes. My girl unfortunately had to work so she wasn't there to back me up if the truth had come out about us getting drunk married in Vegas. But thankfully they overlooked me and focused only on Holly. There's usually so much drama in and around my sister that I could actually get away with murder. Granted I would never, but I'm just saying.
I hope that Mr. and Mrs. Baker will never know about my Vegas wedding to their daughter and hopefully never will. But one day I hope to take Bridget as my wife so to get their approval, I need to stay in their good graces and continue to be a perfect gentleman too. Bridget means everything to me. She's the only girl for me and I don't have to explain my family to her. She knows how crazy my family truly is, how each member got there and actually knew of my stepmother all of her life and had grown up Holly and Lily too. But actually Bridget was the one to explain how everyone was connected and all. Bridget has always been there for me as I'm there for her.
Ever since the first we met, I could feel like there was something special about her. She was the first American girl that I had contact with who didn't turn out to be my sister. She's so sweet, so kind and she's my everything.
Like most couples, we've had our issues too. The night after we graduated high school, she broke up with me. I wanted to try and keep her, well that was until my Dad gave me some good advice. He told me that I had to let her go and let her fulfill whatever dream she had without me. If she came back then she and I were meant to be. And if she never returned to me, then she wasn't supposed to end up with me.
But as I've already stated, I never wanted anyone else. It would've been one thing if she stayed in California for school, but she ended up going to a school in Texas to be close to family. It took everything in me to not follow her to Texas. I wanted to wait with her while she made up her mind about us. Soon enough, I found myself content with my life here. It took her to Christmas break to come to a decision about us and our future together. I was heading out to go hang out with friends, when I saw her on my porch. At first I thought I was dreaming, but I pinched my skin and she was really here. She and I have been together ever since.
If I had it my way, we would already be married. But she wanted to finish college before we move on with us and our future. I hope it'll be soon, but I'd wait forever for her! She is the love of my life and I'm thankful that she has picked me as well! I will always be thankful for that!
