I was meaning to update yesterday, but that just didn't happen. But anyway, I hope you enjoy this! And on the behalf of this Holly, sorry for a long chapter!

The next day, my phone began to ring. As I looked at the caller I.D., I was taken aback about who was trying to get in touch with me. It was Ryan. He normally contacts when he can't reach either of my parents. To be honest, I'm not a fan of talking on the phone which is actually ironic with my line of work. But in my personal life, I rather talk face to face or text over talking on the phone. However, I decided to answer it anyway.
He was calling to invite me to his radio station to get a interview done! I got a little nervous because if truth be told, I've always looked up to him. All my life I knew I wanted music a part of my life, but I was unclear how I would include it though. To be honest, I'm not sure if my Mom blessed me with her singing ability, but Lily for sure has it. I never sing in front of my parents because I know Mom will sugarcoat it for my sake and Dad will be very blunt and probably won't care who he's talking to anyway. Of course I still sing, but it's usually in the shower or in my car with the windows rolled up.
So as I was getting ready to look at colleges, I knew wanted to go into the music industry. But as I was looking at majors, communications just stood out to me for some odd reason. It turned out to be a perfect major for me because I could be in the family business without them in my business; which worked for about nine years or so.
"Why didn't you come to me to help you with your career, Holly?" (He seemed hurt.)
"No offense, but I wanted to see if I could figure it out myself first. I really wanted and still desire my own fame."
"Yeah and with who your parents are, I get it. I was just wondering."
"Yeah. You know them very well."
He laughed. "I guess you could say that."
Before we hung up, I told him not to tell my parents about the interview. He agreed, but I hoped that he would respect my wishes.
As soon as I hung up, there was a knock on the door.
Lily stuck her head into my room. "Hey sis, who were you talking to? Triple C." she said, closing the door behind her.
I sighed and filled her in about my conversation with Ryan and the interview that we just set up, even I'm not sure when it will happen though. She was really excited for me! Then Lily shared her news with me. Every Saturday night, Dylan, Lily and I hang out with our former nanny, Sydney. We usually go somewhere out in the public to talk and drink, but in light of my interview with our parents, they were unsure how crazy the fans would be. So instead we were going to Sydney's basement to chill. I love having this time with her because she's like my big sister, best friend and a mother figure all wrapped up into one!
Sydney is our long lost sister who doesn't share our last name. A few years ago, her parents got a divorce and now live nowhere near California. So Mom and Dad unofficially adopted her. My parents kept saying that they did it to give Sydney and Issac's kiddos another set of California grandparents. But I think the real motive was to bring her into the family because she has always been like a daughter to them anyways.
Every time we get together, Lily and Sydney talk about how they want to have Mom and Dad join us too. But Dylan and I always veto it because we like this time away from them. Since Dylan works with Dad, I totally get it his reasoning and as for me, I love that this is just our thing. Also I feel like my parents like Syd more than us aka, their own damn kids! But I'm shocked that Dad doesn't invite himself over to be completely honest. My blabbermouth sister, Lilian Grace, has told Mom and Dad about our weekly time with Syd. But I think Mom would mainly come along with her husband to keep the peace. It's not like I don't love and like my parents to be around, but most of the time we vent about how they're driving us crazy; Dad more than Mom for sure.
