Every Saturday night, Sydney, Lily, Dylan and I go to our usual hangout spot, 'Leaping Frog Lounge'. It's our favorite bar because it's a calming atmosphere, well until karaoke breaks out then all hell breaks lose. I've been so busy with all the aftermath after cluing in the world who my parents just happen to be that I haven't been able to hang out with a few of my favorite people in about a month.

Normally, my siblings and I take a normal cab, but I had to work late so I met them there. Lily's and Dylan's uber pulled up to the curb as mine was leaving with the next customer. It was pretty perfect timing. I waited for them and then we three walked in together.

Sydney got our attention by waving and calling all of us by name. As we spotted her, we rushed right over. She then greeted us with tight hugs before inviting us to take a seat. My siblings and I slid into the booth, just enough room for everyone to fit comfortably. Sydney is usually the designated driver because she rather hang out with us, take care of us than drink. She claims that 'someone honestly has to be responsible'. But I just think that it's because she's not much of a drinker. However, she knows we are and we enjoy it.

After we ordered food and drinks, Sydney started the conversation.

 "So how was everyone's weeks?"

We three smiled at each other.

"Come on, don't all start at once."

Lily got the ball rolling and then Dylan spoke. But before I could form a word after opening my mouth, Sydney cut me off.

"Oh look who decided to join us, our own little star!"

I smiled.

"Care to say more?"

I nodded and took a deep breath before filling her in on Dad's meddling, the interview, and all of the aftermath.

"I love hearing how it really is between you and your parents, Holly," Syd said, with a light smile.

I smiled back. "Yeah, it was fun!"

Dylan gave me a death stare.

"What?"

"I still can't believe the way that Dad allows you to speak to him. It's not fair." (He was totally throwing a fit.)

I sighed. "Well our relationship has been anything but easy. You three know that, right?"

The girls nodded while Dylan rolled his eyes.

"I mean he's a big pain in my ass. He seriously drives me crazy. But I do find it funny how he thinks he has any control over me."

"But he does, Holly," Sydney replied.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"You looked terrified at their wedding," she explained.

"Yeah well that was the day that I realized that if I didn't obey him, he could punish me. And obviously, I didn't want that."

"So that's why you were little miss perfect until you turned legal," Dylan replied.

"Well that and our promises to Uncle Mason."

"So how are you three doing with your list of promises?" Syd asked us.
