Throughout the weeks leading up to the Sports Festival, Emiri spent the majority of her free time after school in her basement's Training rooms. Sometimes Toga would come over and spar with her— the teen was extremely good with knives, though Emiri wasn't surprised— she knew Toga used them a lot.

Soon, the day of the Sports Festival arrived, and Emiri was packing up her bookbag, making sure she packed her analysis journal.

"You think you're ready, Riri?" Toga asked, twirling one of her knifes casually as she watched Emiri get ready for school, the older teen had come over early to see Emiri off— Since Emiri's parents didn't stay to so themselves.

"I think I'm well prepared. They won't know what hit 'em." Emiri said.

Toga grinned, her canines flashing in the dim morning light. "That's the spirit! Now, go beat those kids and show the world who's the best!"

Emiri smiled, "Of course."

Once at the school, Emiri went with the rest of her class to the waiting rooms. Apparently the faculty didn't want them to be crowded by reporters and civilians as they headed to the stadium. Before they had gone to the stadium, each of them had changed into their P.E uniforms.

"I wonder what the first r-rounds going to be like." Emiri wondered out loud.

"No matter what they prepare we must persevere." Tokoyami responded.

"Y-yeah."

"Everynone! Get your game faces on! We're entering the arena soon!" Iida shouted.

Emiri took a deep breath, she was ready for this, she had trained for weeks. There's no way I'm going to loose.

"From an objective Standpoint, I think it's clear that I'm stronger than you." Todoroki said, breaking Emiri out of her concentration. She looked towards the duel-haired boy and saw that he was standing in front of Midoriya. "However, you've got All Might in your corner helping you out."

All Might's helping Midoriya? Maybe he's the one... Emiri thought, looking at the freckled boy. She got lost in her thoughts as the two of them continued talking, only snapping out of it once it was time for them to head out onto the field/

"Hey! Make some noise my rabid sports fans!" Present Mic shouted, causing the crowd that had now gathered in the stadium to start cheering. "This year we're bringing you some of the hottest performances in Sports Festival History guaranteed! I've only got one question before we start this show— are you ready?"

As Present Mic was getting the crowd hyped up, Emiri was walking with the rest of her class onto the field, the cheering of the crowd getting louder with each step she took.

"First onto the field is a group that's no stranger to the spotlight! Known for withstanding a villain attack, these dazzling students showed off their skills! The hero class 1-A!"

Emiri looked around at the fans as she walked further into the middle of the field. Then, as Present Mic announced them she watched the other classes that entered the field as Present Mic announced them. Hero course 1-B, general course classes C, D, and E, Support classes F, G, and, H. Finally the last course was the business course classes I, J, and K. Some of the kids Emiri saw had been some that crowded around class 1-A's door the day the Sports Festival was announced. To say they were just glaring at Class A would be an understatement. Some looked like they were out to kill.

"Now the introductory speech!" Someone shouted, and Emiri was dragged out of her analysis of the other courses to see the hero who spoke stadning on the podium— she recognized her as the R-rated hero Midnight.

"Someone should talk to Miss Mightnight about what she's wearing." Kirishima muttered.

"Is that really appropriate apparel for a high school game?" Tokoyami asked.

"She's got to wear something like that in order for her quirk to work. Besides, it's better than her debut outfit." Emiri pointed out.

"Silence everyone!" Midnight shouted, causing everyone that was chattering in the stands and among the classes to quit down. "And for the student pledge, we have Koyama Emiri!"

Emiri perked up,of course— it only made sense that the student who placed highest on the hero course entrance exams would give the introductory speech. The students in front of her parted and she made her way to the podium, adjusting the microphone before she started speaking.

"Hello everyone! Thank you for coming today!" She started, hearing the crowd start cheering, once the sound died down, Emiri started speaking again. "I want to say that I hope everyone strives to do their best and use their quirks to their full potential!" She gave a closed eyed smile towards the crowd before she looked over her shoulder at the other students, her eyes glinting in the shadows of her bangs. "I'm going to do my best as well, and I promise you all that I'd do anything to accomplish my goals!"

Her classmates looked up at her, some getting shivers down their spines as they saw the expression on her face. Though just as soon as it came, it was replaced with a bright smile as she looked back towards the crowd. "I hope you all enjoy the U.A Sports Festival today!"

The crowd cheered loudly and Emiri walked down from the podium, returning to the spot she was standing at prior to when she was called to give her speech. She turned and looked towards Midnight and listened as the pro hero started to announce the first game of the Festival.

"Without further ado, it's time we get started! The first game is where it's all at! This is where you start feeling the pain. The first game of the Festival!" A screen appeared behind her and a blur of events went by until it settled on one, the words Obstacle Race shown boldly.

"An Obstacle race? Wonder how that'll play out." Emiri said.

"All eleven classes will participate in this contest, the track is four kilometers outside the stadium, I don't want to restrain anyone, so as long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires! Now then, take your places, contestants!"

Emiri followed the others to the main gate where the race would start. She looked at the tunnel and then back at the crowd of students— there was no way they were going to all fit in there and be able to get through.

"If I wait back here, there's a strong possibility that I can go over everyone as they're stuck. It'll be tricky but I think that'll work." Emiri muttered. She stuck around the back of the crowd her eyes shining as she watched the red light flash to yellow.

She'll do anything to get to the top and accomplish her goal.
