The last match of the second round was Bakugo against Kirishima. Kirishima was able to hold a steady defense against Bakugo for the first half of the fight with his hardening. Bakugo's explosion barely scratched him since his skin was practically solid rock. Bakugo eventually overwhelmed him with explosions, wearing Kirishima down until the poor boy was knocked out— leaving Bakugo to advance to the next match.
"Oh no." Emiri said, nerves slowly building up.
"What's the matter?" Uraraka asked.
"This means I'll have to go up against Bakugo in the next round. I'm going to die."
"Don't worry, Kacchan wouldn't kill anyone— I don't think." Deku said, an uncertain expression crossing his face.
"You don't think?" Emiri squeaked out, "That doesn't help!" She placed her hands on her cheeks and crouched down, "Oh man, I'm so going to die. I should go write my will— wait I already have it written— I should go say my goodbyes to everyone I love—"
"Don't you think you're thinking too extreme?" Uraraka asked, crouching down next to her and patting her shoulder. "I'm sure you're going to do great, just like you've done in your previous battles."
Emiri looked from the ground in front of her up to Uraraka, "T-Thanks." She took a deep breath, "Well, the next round is starting, and since I'm the second fight I need to go down to the waiting room to strategize." She straightened up and took a deep breath, trying to ignore the rising panic at the realization that she had to go against the one and only sparky sparky boom boy with anger issues.
"Well, good luck." Uraraka said with a reassuring smile.
Emiri nodded, and once Iida and Todoroki were once again introduced to the crowd, she headed down to the waiting room, thinking of ways she could beat Bakugo.
Maybe I don't have to beat him, maybe all I have to do is trick him... she thought as she headed down.
Eventually, the match between Iida and Todoroki ended, leaving a small break between the matches so they could thaw the ice on the field.
She took a deep breath and started to head to the field, passing by a certain pro hero on her way. She slowed to a stop and looked over her shoulder as she watched Endeavor walk away. She gritted her teeth, something about that hero made her uneasy. And when he walked by, she could of sworn he had looked her up and down.

"Alright everyone! The last match of the semi-finals!" Present Mic announced, queuing Emiri and Bakugo to start walking onto the he field. "In this match it's Koyama against Bakugo! Who will come out victorious? I sure know who I'm rooting for!"
The crowd cheered loudly around them and Emiri got into a defensive position, widening her stance and outstretching her arms just enough so she'd be ready to attack if she needed to. It was only a split second after the match had been started that Bakugo sped straight towards her, as she expected. She had turned her forearm into a large shield, and managed to block an explosion, wincing a bit at the heat and sliding back.
"Immediately Koyama is put on the defensive!" Present Mic announced.
Emiri watched as Bakugo lunged towards her once again, working to close the distance between the two of them. Quickly, she side stepped and just barely dodged his speeding form. Though she knew of his mobility with his quirk and she watched he turned just before he crossed over the boundary line and skid to a halt.
"You don't plan on using the stupid shield this whole match, are you?" Bakugo asked, his hands sparking up.
"A-ah, well, that was the p-plan." Emiri said.
Bakugo scowled, and once again lunged towards Emiri, "Why don't you put up more of a fight! I refuse to win against someone who isn't putting their all!" He send a explosion her way and Emiri ducked behind the shield, starting to sweat from the heat of the explosion.
Emiri frowned, "Just because I'm not using flashy attacks doesn't mean I'm not putting my all." She said, her eyes glinting ever so slightly as she jumped to the side to dodge Bakugo once again.
The match continued on like that for a few minutes, Bakugo going to attack her and her defending herself with her shield. After an explosion aimed at her shield from point-zero, Emiri had to use her other arm, the one she had been using burnt from the attack. Throughout the entire battle, Bakugo had gotten more and more pissed that Emiri was just being on the defensive and not attack him with any sort of weapons.
Everything was going according to plan.
Emiri had once again dodged one of Bakugo's attacks and landed just in front of the boundary line, and she watched as he let out an angered shout, looking towards Emiri with an absolutely pissed expression. "Attack me, damn it!" He shouted, once again rushing towards Emiri, wincing as he let out the explosions to propel him forwards.
He's distracted. Emiri thought. Now's the perfect time. She waited until he got close to her, and once his outstretched hand was just barely half a foot away she turned her legs into polls, propelling herself up in the air before turning them back to normal all in the time span of a second. She winced in pain from the quick transformation, but managed to keep her mind clear as she watched Bakugo speed past her, skidding to a halt and turning around, ready to attack again— until there was the sound of a buzzer.
"Bakugo is out of bounds! Koyama moves onto the final round!" Midnight shouted.
Emiri landed on the ground, her legs turning numb, with both relief and the drawback from transforming them so quickly, causing her to fall to her knees. The crowd cheered wildly all around her, and she looked towards Bakugo, seeing that he had been stunned into a silence. She could only imagine what was going through his head right now.
But all she was focused on now was that she had made it. She had beaten Bakugo and was heading to the final round.
