It was a few days into her internship when she heard news that Hosu city was under attack. She was out on patrol with Edgeshot that night and had caught sight of some TVs in a shop window showing the live broadcast.

Hosu city was up in flames, and Nomus were attacking the heroes who were trying to get everything under control. She had known something was going to happen, so this didn't come much as a shock to her.

"It looks like they've got it mostly under control at the moment." Edgeshot said, walking up to stand beside Emiri. "Endeavor is there as well as plenty of other pros. We'll leave it to them to handle."

Leave it to them...? But they looked like they're barely handling it... Emiri thought to herself, though didn't speak up and instead just followed Edgeshot into another alleyway.

Later that night, once Emiri got back from patrol, she noticed that she had a text message from Midoriya. Opening it up she looked at it in confusion. Why would he just send a string of coordinates with no other explanation? She noticed that the coordinates were some back alleyway in Hosu.

Oh. He must of encountered the Hero Killer. She thought to herself, putting the phone down and yawning. "Well, Iida's in Hosu as well, so hopefully they two of them found each other. There's nothing really I can do now anyways." She stretched and got into the futon, "Maybe Iida wasn't the only one I should of warned..."

The rest of the week past by quickly and Emiri soon found herself stadning in front of Edgeshot for their last daily match. So far the score was 5-0 (6-0 including the first day) and Emiri had yet to win any of the matches, though each day she had been able to last a little bit longer.

"Last match between Heiress and Mr. Edgeshot!" The referee shouted. "Begin!"

The both of them immediately jumped away from each other. Once again this match prohibited the use of their quirks so Emiri had to rely on her own natural reflexes and abilities. Throughout the week, Edgeshot's movements seemed to get slower without him moving any slower. She was now able to see his figure moving around rather than the blur she saw on the first day.

She jumped away just as Edgeshot headed straight towards her, pressing her feet against the wall as she watched him land and immediately jump onto the opposite wall. The match played out like that for the next few minutes. Edgeshot making a move and Emiri jumping away to dodge it. With the help of Edgeshot's training her agility and reflexes had increased tenfold— she was almost at the same speed of Edgeshot himself. Almost.

Emiri stayed on the defensive for about five minutes she had thought up of a plan a few nights before— it was an extremely simple plan yet she wouldn't of been able to carry it out until she had gotten faster herself. The six minute mark had just passed and once again Emiri found herself standing on the ground while Edgeshot came towards her from above. She took a deep breath to calm herself and she prepared to move.

Though this time she didn't jump away like she did before— instead she stayed exactly where she was. Closer... just a bit closer... just as he was about to touch her she moved like she was going to jump away, only to pivot her foot and step to the side. In a blur of movement she reached forwards and grabbed one of his biceps— putting as much pressure as she was instructed.

Edgeshot skidded to a halt, the arm Emiri had pressed hanging limply at his side. He turned and looked at her, the both of them catching their breath.

"She did it." One of the pros stated in complete shock. "That student just beat Edgeshot."

Emiri was still working on catching her breath. Her hands were on her knees. In front of her, Edgeshot was looking down at her, already recovered from the match— his arm looking that it had recovered.

"You did good. I'm proud to say that I was the one who taught you. Heiress."

The next day, Emiri stood at the front of the building, back in her U.A uniform with her bags in her hands. Edgeshot was standing at the top of the stairs, his arms crossed. "You were a good intern. I look forwards to working with you in the future."

Emiri gave him a soft smile and bowed before turning and walking towards the station, officially ending her internship with Edgeshot.

Emiri got home later that afternoon. There was a note on the table from her brother saying that he had to leave but he left a little gift for her on her bed— given past experiences with him and his gifts it was most likely something meant for a five year old.

Getting up to her room, her assumption was correct. On her bed was the most atrocious looking kiddy sweater she had ever laid her eyes on— needless to say it went straight into a donation bin. She might not want it but some five year old girl out in the world might.

She sighed and went to sit at her desk, switching on the TV and catching up on the news. The attack on Hosu was ignored for the most part— most news channels focusing on one thing— the capture of The Hero Killer: Stain.

Emiri's eyes widened when she saw footage of three familiar teens, each of them looking pretty roughed up.

So, Todoroki joined with Iida and Midoriya against the Hero Killer, huh? She thought. He must of gotten the same message she did— she assumed the entire class had received it. What a shame. I wish I could of watched the battle. I kinda wanted to see the Hero Killer in action.

She let out a sigh, "Oh well, there's always going to be another battle, besides, I can't watch all of them."
