After a small break to get the battle stage off the field and some podiums set up, Emiri found herself standing on the second place podium, Todoroki besides her and a bit above on the first place podium and Bakugo on the other side of Todoroki on the third place podium. For once he wasn't shouting or glaring at anyone and instead he was just... standing there looking off in the distance.
"The first year students have completed all of the events for the U.A. Sports Festival! Now it's time to relax and enjoy the award ceremony!" Midnight announced, taking Emiri's attention off of Bakugo and onto the R-rated hero. Above the stadium, fireworks went off. "Tenya Iida actually shares the third place award with Bakugo, but unfortunately he had leave for family. Gotta love those familial bonds~"
Iida had to leave? Did something actually happen to his brother? Emiri thought, tilting her head slightly. Thinking about it, she hadn't seen Iida ever since his last match.
"Now, let's break out the hardware! Of course there's only one person worthy of distributing the awards-" Midnight said as she reached her arm out towards the top of the stadium, where a muscled form appeared and familiar laughter rang out through the stadium. Emiri watched as All Might jumped down into the field— his and Midnights introductions mingling together in into a jumble on incomprehensible words. All Might's appearance had caused the crowd to start chatting excitedly, though Emiri focused on Midnight and All Might.
"So, now that you're here, All Might, why don't you start the presentation." Midnight said, holding up the medals.
All Might laughed and nodded, grabbing the copper medal from the small tray the three were on and walking up to Bakugo. "Young Bakugo, Congratulations." He said, looping the medal over the teen's head. It was slightly concerning to see how unresponsive Bakugo was being. "You showed great power. However, you have more to learn about being a hero. You must learn not to get to carried away within the fight."
Bakugo scoffed and stood ridged as All Might pulled him into a hug. Emiri could of sworn the explosive teen had shot a small glare her way before returning to look forwards and watch as All Might stepped away from the podium to grab the silver second place medal.
"Young Koyama." All Might continued, moving to stand in front of her. She bowed her head as he looped the medal around her neck. "Congratulations. You show promise on becoming a strong and strategic hero one day, though you must learn not to give up so easily when you can't immediately think of a way out."
Emiri nodded, knowing that All Might was referring to her last battle against Todoroki. Her judgement had clouded and she hadn't thought of breaking the ice with a hammer, or cutting herself out. Though now, she stood tall as All Might embraced her in a hug.
A hero, right. Emiri thought, her fingers twitching ever so slightly before she balled her hands into fists. She felt him pull away and after giving her a solid pat on the back he walked back towards Midnight and grabbed the first place medal and walked in front of Todoroki.
"Young Todoroki. Congratulations." All Might said, placing the golden first place medal around Todoroki's neck. "You did well in all your matches, though I'm assuming you had a reason for not using your fire in the last match." Todoroki just nodded quietly, his expression unchanging as All Might pulled him into a hug as well.
With that, the medals had been distributed. All Might turned to address the crowd. "Here they are, the winners of this year's Sports Festival! But listen closely, any of you first years could of ended up standing on these podiums. Think about what you've done today. You've challenged each other, learned, and climbed even closer toward your goals of being pros. I think the next generation of heroes is proving the be the most promising one yet." He raised his hand in the air and pointed his finger towards the sky. "So I have one more thing to say! I want to hear everyone yell it with me! You know what it is!"
Emiri raised her hand and pointed to the sky along with the rest of the crowd.
"Plus Ultra/ Great Work!"
Good Work? Emiri thought, looking at All Might as the crowd booed All Might— something she'd never thought she'd see. She just placed a hand up to cover her mouth and giggled, watching as All Might awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
That evening, after getting pictures taken and interviews done for the media, Emiri and the rest of 1-A were sitting in their classroom. Apparently Aizawa had some announcements for them before they went home for the day.
"Nice work. You have the next two days of school off to recuperate. I'm sure the pros who watched the festival will want to recruit some of you. We'll look over the draft forms and update you when you return. Get some rest, you still have a lot of training." Aizawa said.
"Yes sir."

The next day, Emiri found herself waking up to the sun shining in her eyes.
I thought I closed the blinds before I went to sleep. She thought, rubbing her eyes and sitting up. She looked besides her to see a bed table with a plate laying on it, some toast and two fried eggs. Next to the plate there was a small note. Picking it up, Emiri skimmed over what was written on it.
Morning sweetie!
We wish we could of been with you this morning to celebrate your win yesterday, but both your father and I had to go and get some work done in the office today. But I've cooked this breakfast for you to enjoy! We love you!Your dear mother.
Emiri just balled up the letter in her hands and swing her legs over the side of her bed. She stretched and walked out of her room, throwing the letter in a trash can on her way out and leaving the breakfast untouched.
