Relic left the table rubbing the back of his head. His long black hair covered part of his face, and he did a small quick flick of his head to move his hair back so he could look at Pramlee, who kept her eyes on Meridian as she stood outside talking to Kieren.

"What do you want?"

Relic's face changed, he fumbled on his words, muttering, "Why are you so mad at me all the time? It was funny, but I think you hate me or something."

Pramlee shifted and snapped her steely eyes, "Really? Relic, you are so clueless all the time. I don't hate you. You piss me off. I will say you marrying Luna for the betterment of everyone was the most selfless act I have ever seen you do. I will give you credit for that." Pramlee put her index finger up to Relic, and she raised her eyebrow as if to caution Relic not to get too joyful over the comment. "You are inconsiderate of others' feelings. I know, fairies all have a reputation. But Luna has always been different from the rest. She is in love with you, and I am sorry I don't like to see people's vulnerability used."

Relic shook his head and dropped his tone in defense. "Pramlee, look. I have never been in love with Luna. Selena letting us out of our vows was for the best. Me staying with her after would be more of disrespect and hurt down the road. You know I have always been in love with Meridian. I understand she doesn't feel that way. Do you think I would want her to be with me out of obligation? I am not that selfish. I have found a being I like, Lotus. If she would have me." Relic's cocky grin returned.

Pramlee sighed and rolled her eyes. "Yes, you have a small point, but don't say I didn't warn you; the nymphs are different. When have you ever heard of one staying with anyone? They are players." Pramlee stopped herself and threw her hands up. "What am I saying? Oh yes, a perfect match."

Pramlee turned away to walk back to the table and sit down. Relic was on her heels grinning and said, "Yes, no commitment necessary, cancel anytime. I like commercials; they give me material." He laughed.

Outside between Kieren and Meridian, the scene was not similar. Kieren maintained his previous stance of awkwardness being in Meridian's company, keeping his eyes to the ground with little words. Meridian's gaze remained on Kieren's profile; his light sandy blonde hair seemed to glow in the light and kept his eyes hidden. Meridian dropped her head a bit and moved away from Kieren while she spoke.

"So how have you been? I know that you have been through a lot. I guess we all have." Meridian's voice though light, hinted at her nervousness.

"I am okay. Sorry about inside, I am not sure how to act, yet." Kieren said.

"What do you mean? This is not like you at all. When we first met, I was the nervous one." Meridian giggled under her breath.

Kieren looked up at Meridian with surprise, "Well, I think things will be fine; you found the one. I am happy for you." Kieren remained guarded as he tried to portray his support of Meridian finding her twin soul.

"Well, that much hasn't changed with you." Meridian smarted off with a shrug with a dismissive tone as she turned to walk away, "You are always the cool hand Luke."

Kieren didn't make any moves to stop her; he just stared as she continued to walk away, not saying anything to her. He tightened up his body and moved his eyes to stare out into the horizon of Etheria.
