Reconnecting With My Dad John

a miracle and a decision

Just when you think that I couldn't make a horrible situation worse I just go and prove you wrong. I knew my mouth would be my undoing. I guess that's another problem I share with my dad we both say the wrong things at times and we keep pushing people to there limits and we keep pushing them until they snap and Tony well god he is snapped.

My face is so swollen from when Tony punched me and I look like i have had some botched up comestic surgery. My eye has nearly swollen shut and the pain is so incredibly bad but he may have destroyed my face but he hasn't even begun to destroy my fighting spirit.

"Let me inform you of something" tony said creeping up behind me giving me a fright.

He always did that snuck up on me and put me on edge it's like he never wants me to be relaxed.

"Oh do go ahead and inform me. You have my full and devoted attention" I said the sarcasm dripping of every word.

"You're gonna die and if you escape then your daddy is going to die"

I burst into a fit of laughter.

"Oh don't be so dramatic. You really aren't scaring me"

I could see his face twist into a scowl and I knew he was regretting his choice of Lennon to kidnap.

He got of his chair and walked behind me and I heard a cupboard drawer open and then shut and I heard his footsteps as he walked back towards me. I suddenly felt something cold press against my head and I saw outta the corner of my eyes a gun. Tony has a gun pressed against my head and he succeeded he has me scared.

"You have a decision to make. Who dies? you or your precious daddy?"

*John's pov*

"Officer there has to be something you can do right now it's been nearly 48 hours"

"We are trying but as you know whatever cult they are involved in are keeping there location hidden. Without no leads and no sightings other than when you seen them outside your home then it's a difficult task."

"Isnt that what your paid for? As a police officer to face the difficult tasks and help?"

"Yes Mr Lennon but a case like this is going to take time and patience?"

"How can I be patient when my daughter is in the hands of a pyshcopath?"

"I'm sorry. I can assure you we are working round the clock and have police officers swarming the city to find them. People know your daughter they know what she looks like. He wont be able to go anywhere without someone spotting them. I'm sorry we haven't got better news for you"

"Please just keep searching. Please I cant loose her"

"We wont give up"

The officer shook John's hand and left just as yoko was entering.

"Any news john" she asked

"No just the same. Been no sightings and no leads. She is still out there somewhere with that physco"

"I'm truly sorry john I honestly am but I come with some great news."

"The only great news I want to hear is that my daughter is coming home"

"Well it's not that but it's something better a miracle has happened"

"Something better? Are you fucking with me? Nothing and i mean nothing would be better than that"

"I'm pregnant John. Your going to be a dad"

John looked like you could push him over with a feather his face went pale and he stood frozen to the spot. He showed no emotion other than shock. Yoko was elated she was wanting to have John's child since the moment they got together but due to her age and John's drug use it seemed impossible. They were told they would never be able to have a child of there own but they were given a blessing.

Yoko looked at john and couldn't understand why he wasn't excited this is what they were working for what they were praying for.

"John say something. This is amazing news. You're going to be a dad"

"You say that like I am not already a dad"

" well this child is with me. so for me it's like you being a dad for the first time."

" but I'm not a first time dad. What you're saying makes no sense"

"John can't you be happy its our first child together. A child of love and a miracle. Can't you be glad"

" yoko it's like by telling me this you're expecting me to just forget about the child I have that's missing"

"Well I hoped for a short period of time you could forget and share my happiness."

"I'm sorry I just can't focus on anything but Tilly at the moment. Once I have her back we can celebrate"

"I'm so sick of hearing about Tilly she's gone just accept it and focus on our child together."
