"so was you and this matt guy .. ya known a thing" Keith asked in a small voice as he focus on flying the ship.

"no we were more like siblings, he called me his little sister and i called him as my brother ... i did love him but in a family way and he was the same plus he married a sweet girl" Katie replied with a sweet smile.

"do you miss him" Keith asked and noticed the planet they were going to be landing on coming in view.

"yes, i might have only awaken but i know the life i once knew it no more and by the looks the galra war is still going on" Katie frowned. 

"a thousand years or so i was told but we going to win this war in my generation" Keith grinned.

"a thousand years" Katie mumbled and looked to her hands.

"ever heard of voltron" Keith asked with a smirk.

"yes, i was alive while king Alfor, Blaytz, Gyrgan, Trigel and Zarkon were the paladins but i also was alive as Zarkon went mad with power and started this war" Katie replied. 

"well Voltron was sent away by king Alfor and now new paladins have been found for voltron and we got a chance of winning this war" Keith smirked and Katie turned to him.

"so voltron has chosen to fight once more, well maybe this war will be won" Katie smiled brightly and they soon reached the planet.

"keith" Kolivan spoke as the blade member walked out of his ship with his mask still off.

"Kolivan i found her and she ok" Keith replied as Kolivan took his own mask and hood off.

"I'm guessing your the new leader of the blades, thank you for not giving up the fight" Katie smiled.

"the blades will keep fighting till our last breath, you must not worry miss daughter" Kolivan replied with a straight face and bow to Katie.

"please just call me Pidge" Katie smiled and wink at the puzzled keith.

"yes pidge" Kolivan smiled and stood. 

"where are we heading now sir" Keith asked as the mission was now over.

"we be seeing voltron ... if you dont mind pidge" Kolivan asked.

"i love to see the lions again, i haven't seen them all in so long and i feel like they the only things left of my time" Katie replied with a small smile.

"understood, keith i sent you voltron location we be using your ship to travel" Kolivan said as he turned to keith who nodded.

"then we better get going or we gonna miss hunk cooking" Keith smirked and they all walked back on his ship. 

TIME SKIP TO THEM LANDING ON A PLANET WHERE THE CASTLE OF LIONS HAVE LANDED FOR A REST.

"keith your back and just in time for my cooking" Hunk grinned as keith walked out of his ship.

"its good to see you again, i hear you no longer are in training for the blades" Shiro smiled and patted keith arm.

"no he is a full member now well in my eyes he is" Kolivan smiled as he walked out.

"its good to see you both but what with the unexpected visit" Allura asked with worry.

"that reason might be me" Katie replied as she walked out and stood next to keith.

"and who this hotie" Lance smirked and wink at Katie who rolled her eyes.

"everyone meet the daughter of the blades ... pidge" Kolivan replied and the two alteans bowed.

"she has awaken, its an honour to meet you once more daughter" Coran smiled.

"please stand, I'm a fellow fighter like you and we are all equals in my eyes so please just call me pidge" Katie smiled and the two alteans stood.

"daughter of the blades .. what is that" Lance asked puzzled.

"i thought that was a child story or so keith said" Shiro asked unsure.

"a child story" Katie frowned and turned to keith who rubbed the back of his neck.

"well to protect you and all the blades members we had to keep your existence hidden" Kolivan replied and Katie nodded.

"but why are you awaken now, i thought the blades planned to keep her asleep forever to protect the blades for life" Allura asked as she remember hearing something like that from a blade member after meeting them.

"the war is nearly over, we either win with voltron or die trying and the daughter has a right to be awaken for the ending when she was here for the start plus her hidden ship was going to be found by the galra" Kolivan replied.

"forever asleep" Katie whispered in shock, she didnt expect they were going to keep her asleep forever to keep the blades going. 

"why dont we all have something to eat .. oh um can you eat" Hunk asked with worry.

"yes i can eat" Katie smiled.

"your gonna love hunk cooking, he the best cook ever" Lance grinned.

"welcome to the team" Shiro smiled.

"i think i should be saying that, after all i am a thousand and nineteen years old ... i was the first fighter to push Zarkon back once he turned" Katie smirked shocking the humans while coran nodded saying it was all truth.

"well i hope you enjoy staying at the castle, we find a good room for you" Allura smiled kindly.

"just give me a basic room, i dont need anything fancy" Katie replied and soon the lions roared from inside the castle before flying out and landing in front of the castle slowly bowing the heads in front of the group.

"they never done this before" coran replied with worry.

"its because Pidge has returned" Keith smirked and watched the shorter women walk towards the lions lifting her hand to them and bonding.

"it truly has been a long time my friends" Katie smiled and the lions all lifted their heads with pride.

"keith" Katie grinned and turned to look at him.

"yes" Keith asked.

"we going to win this war" Katie smirked making Keith smirk.
