"Katie" shiro spoke in a low but gentle voice, he seemed a little panic as he woke up.

"I'm here shiro" Pidge smiled and gave a small wave where she sat beside his feet.

"sorry" Shiro mumbled.

"no worries, this place would give anyone nightmares" Pidge grinned and Shiro relaxed a little.

"so anything happen while i was out" Shiro asked as he remembered a galra guard knocking him out from behind.

"nothing really .. oh but one guard has a great singing voice but wished he sung better sons then sad love songs" Pidge smiled and Shiro chuckled how the short paladin would complain over the music then being trapped in a galra prison. 

"well did he sing any good sad love songs" Shiro asked as he sat up better leaning on the wall.

"I'm not sure but i guess one did have a nice sound to it" Pidge replied before yawning a little.

"why dont you get some sleep .. i keep watch and wake you if we going to die" Shiro smiled gently.

"nah I'm good, i already took a quick nap" Pidge lied, she had a reason why she didnt move from the corner beside the door. 

She lied to shiro about anything happening while he was knocked out. Haggar came for him and Pidge being an idiot wouldn't let the guard take him meaning Haggar took her instead in the sense of 'teaching you a lesson' .... lets just say Pidge didnt enjoy her lesson. Haggar did a brain scan with a painful machine and well Pidge made it even worse on herself by releasing fake info in her brain meaning the scan came unclear and made Haggar even madder. Pidge was beaten and the only reason she did so well at hiding it was becuase the cell was too dark to see anything clear.

"you sure your ok, you sound hurt" Shiro asked with worry.

"no I'm good ... just gone numb" Pidge joked and shiro chuckled.

"lucky you .. these floors aren't the best to sit on" Shiro grinned and Pidge giggled. 

"we be saved soon .. dont worry" Shiro sighed and looked to the cell door.

"and here i was enjoying our capture" Pidge joked with a smirk. 

"well I'm glad i was captured with you .. i dont need to worry so much" Shiro smiled softly.

"well keith would be running into the wall hoping to escape while mouthing off, Hunk would be coming up with different ways to die, Lance would just be an idiot and Allura would be in a grumps over being caught ... so yeah I'm the better deal" Pidge smiled and wince a little as pain shot threw her body.

"Katie" Shiro said with worry and made his way over.

"I'm fine shiro, just a small bruise" Pidge grinned trying to lighten the mood while shiro looked her over.

"small bruise my ass .. Katie your hurt when did this happen" Shiro yelled and Pidge would made a smart comment about him cursing but she was in too much pain.

"well i didnt want Hagar taking you while you were still passed out so i did a lance" Pidge sighed.

"you did a lance .. Katie you shouldn't have been so stupid what if she killed you" Shiro yelled with worry.

"what if she turned you into our enemy .... Shiro no one wants to lose you let alone fight you .. i did what was needed" Pidge yelled back shocking shiro. 

"you did this for me" shiro asked shocked.

"i couldn't handle the thought of haggar turning you into her toy pet again ... she would treat you even worse now your a paladin and they wouldn't show any mercy since you already escaped once ... your the leader of voltron shiro .. your the reason most of us can still smile or fight on and i wont lose you to the galra" Pidge spoke with pride and looked straight into shiro kind grey eyes.

"I'm sorry Katie, i shouldn't have freaked out so much but please dont risk your life like that again .. your just as important" Shiro sighed and pulled her into a gentle hug. 

"shiro dont start getting weak on me now" Pidge hugged.

"weak" Shiro yelp surprised.

"we still need to escape and now your awake i dont need to worry over them taking you without a good fight .. ready to get back to the others" Pidge grinned.

"and here i thought we be able to have a good rest" Shiro joked with a grin.

"we gonna make it home shiro .. just you wait" Pidge smirked with pride and stood up holding a hand out to shiro.

"we make it home" Shiro smirked and took pidge hand before standing .
