"I love you" Shiro and Katie yelled out together at the same time on the school roof before blushing bright red and turning to see the other on the other side of the roof.

"Shiro" Katie blushed since she didnt expect anyone else to be on the roof.

"Katie" Shiro blushed since he thought he was alone on the roof.

"matt" Matt, Katie twin brother grinned since he didnt want to be missed out and the two turned to the roof door seeing him standing there.

"matt" the two yelled embarrassed.

"i understand a love can be hard sometimes and you want to confess to the skies but next time make sure no one else is around" Matt smiled as he sat on the roof bench eating his sandwich.

"wanna eat lunch and forget this happened" Katie asked with a small sweet smiled.

"sounds good to me" Shiro smiled and the two sat on the bench leaving matt in the middle.

"i dont see why you two cant just confess yet .. think about me who stuck in the middle watching this sad love story" Matt sighed since he knew his sister and friend love each other but both tried hiding it. 

"well what if i get rejected" shiro and Pidge mumbled together making Matt sigh. 

"I'm pretty sure your guys wont be rejected .. like trust me I'm sure they love you too" Matt smirked.

"well w-who do you like Katie" Shiro asked with a small smile.

"oh you .. um i mean a guy" Katie spoke with a small soft smile before turning bright red and mumbling.

"oh cool" Shiro replied with a small frown.

"w-what about you" Katie asked with hope.

"well you, i mean you know a girl" Shiro replied embarrassed and matt groaned in pain at how bad and awkward the two were being. 

"c-cool" Katie frowned.

"just ask each other out before i lose it" Matt yelled annoyed.

Years later....

"Katie" Shiro said with worry as he found the young women crying leaning on a wall in the pouring rain. 

"s-shiro" She sobbed and he quickly knee down in front of her pulling her into a tight hug.

"its gonna be ok, come to my place and we can talk" Shiro smiled kindly.

"but I'm soaked" Katie sobbed.

"that didnt stop you from running inside your parents house when we were children" Shiro grinned and helped the girl up before dragging her to his place. 

Once they reached his placed Shiro pushed the women into his bathroom before passing her some old clothes and a towel telling her to shower and get out of those wet clothes why he makes them a cuppa. Shiro got changed himself and waited for his childhood friend. 

Fourteen minutes later Katie walked out in shiro clothes that were way too big for her making him chuckle. She sat down beside him on the couch and he passed her the cuppa.

"thanks" She whispered softly and held the cup with both hands to warm herself.

"wanna talk about it" Shiro asked with a slight smile and glanced to the girl.

"i was dating a guy from work, we joined the labs around the same meaning we spend a lot of time together while trying to make a name for ourselves or find a place to belong but we got closer then we planned and started dating" Katie explained. 

"and he dumped you" Shiro asked.

"we were together for four years and we talked about getting married but he never wanted children like i did .. he said he couldn't have having children so i pushed the idea away just wanting to be happy with him but tonight he told me he was leaving me becuase he got the other girl pregant and wanted to be apart of his child life ... he got her pregant and yet he didnt want children with me" Katie started to cry again and held the cup tighter while crying.

"what an ass .. you deserve so much better Katie" Shiro frowned and held his anger back knowing it wouldn't help his friend.

"i had a feeling he was seeing someone once a week since he was always having an excuse on a Friday night but i wanted to trust him and now he going he going to be a father for someone else child" Pidge cried and shiro took the cup from her hands placing it on the table before pulling her into a tight hug. 

"i know it hurts but its gonna get better Katie, i know it will just have hope" Shiro whisper smoothly as he held her tightly letting her cry into his chest.

"you really think so" Katie sobbed.

"yeah i do, your an amazing, smart, sassy, funny pretty women and any guy will be lucky to call you his" Shiro smiled gently as he looked into her tearful hazel eyes. 

"thanks shiro your truly the best" Katie smiled brightly and shiro smiled while wiping her tears away.

"your welcome and I'll always be here for you Katie" Shiro smiled softly.

"i dont deserve a guy like you in my life ... keep being do good to me and i might have to marry you" Katie smirked and Shiro smiled with a small blush on his cheeks.

"then we might be getting married since i could never hurt you Katie" Shiro whispered as she rested her head on his chest. 

"i wouldn't mind that" Katie smiled and closed her eyes listening to shiro heartbeat. 

"your not alone on that idea" Shiro smiled.

"you know in high school i had the biggest crush on you" Katie smiled with a small blush.

"really, i was the same" Shiro grinned with a blush and the two turned to each other before laughing.

"we really were awkward back in high school" Katie giggled.

"yeah, no wonder your brother kept banging his head on the wall" Shiro chuckled.

"well maybe we could have a second chance" Katie smiled softly.

"i would like that" Shiro smiled and pulled Katie into a kiss.
