He stood in the ball room with women all around him talking away and trying to flirt with him.

But he didnt care, he wasn't interested in any of them since only one girl stole his heart from the start. 

He stayed looking at the entrance wondering if she would come, wondering if he see her once more. 

And

It seems his luck was enough becuase she came walked in, a beautiful green ball grown with a green and purple mast hiding her identify but he knew who she was. 

Becuase

He was the one who gave her such a dress and mast all those months ago when they had their first mission together. 

He walked towards her as she made her way to the side of the room hoping to hide up while keeping an eye out and listen in for any new gossip without having to talk herself. 

He watched as she looked around freezing a little as her eyes land on him. 

A soft smile came to his lips as he looked into her round pretty hazel eyes.

A sweet smile on her lips as she looked into his purple eyes. 

Tonight was a night when enemies and allies didnt exist to them ...

They were just themselves nothing more and nothing less. 

"may i have this dance" He asked in a gentle voice as he held his hand out to her.

"you may" She smiled and placed her small hand in his, letting him lead her to the dance floor.

His right hand holding her left while his left laid on her hip. Her own right hand sat on his shoulder and he took the lead for once leading the slow dance for them.

"you look gorgeous tonight" He whispered with a gentle smile as he looked to her and no one else  in the room.

"thank you" She smiled softly letting a blush take over her cheeks under the mask, he was the only one who made her feel beautiful and saw her as beautiful. 

"you look very handsome yourself tonight" She smiled sweetly only looking at him since he was all she cared for.

"thank you" He smiled and pulled her closer while they danced. 

"i missed this" She whispered with a small smile and rested her head on his chest.

"so did i" He replied truth and rested his head on hers. 

"i wish this night never had to end" She grinned and listed to his steady heart beat.

"if only we could so lucky" He smirked and closed his eyes for a little bit.

"this is my last night" she frowned making him tense a little.

"i see" He sighed not liking her words but knowing he didnt have the right to argue back.

"I'm going to miss you" She smiles gently and looks to him meeting his eyes.

"i already miss you" He smiles gently.

"then come back" She replied with a broken begging smile.

"you know i cant and even if i did we wouldn't be happy" He sighed.

"i just dont want to lose you" She frowned and tears threatened to fall.

"and you wont, we meet again just like this and it be our wedding day but you must wait" He smiled and leg go of her hand placing his hand on her cheek.

"i love you" She smiled warmly and eyes fall of love and tears.

"and i love you" He smiled warmly placing a warm, sweet, loving kiss on her lips  ... there eyes closing but a tear escapes her eye letting it run down her face as they share the kiss. 

"until our wedding night" She smiled softly and stepped away.

"i be waiting" He smiled gently and she gives him one last warm smile before leaving the ball. 

His smile fades as his own tears threaten to fall but he knew it was too late .. he knew he couldn't run after her and begged her to join him. 

Just like she couldn't beg him

But he loved her and she loved him ..

Neither would feel love as warm as they did with each other ever again ..

Both watching as the other fades away...

Both were in love with the other but would only feel pain from that nigh onwards ..
