It started with the Little Things ...

Like how cute her smile was

Like how her eyes sparkles when seeing new technology

Like how small her hands were when they brushed past mine

Like how she well she fit in my arms when we hug to cheer the other up or during a moment of excitement 

Like how soft and small her voice was

Like her giggle warm him and would always bring a smile to his face

Like how cute her freckles look under the moon light

Like how beautiful she was

The little things started to build up and now those simple little things made a problem for him.

He was in love with her 

He was in love with pidge

But he was just goofy stupid lance in the team eyes ... how could he ever have a chance of winning her heart over. 

Lance sighed as he watched the girl he loved laugh with James over whatever.

They were back on earth and he was happy to be with his family again but he couldn't stop thinking of Pidge, the girl who stole his heart. 

His eyes would always find her out of a room full of people and he hardly ever look away from her.

His heart would skip a beat each time she gave him a sweet smile or a small wave when she turns to meet his eyes. 

He was falling deeper in love with her each day and it was killing him.

"just ask her out" Keith groaned since he mostly stands next to pidge and always feel Lance gaze on her.

"wha  ... ask who out" Lance blushed and failed at trying to act cool. 

"dude i notice your been staring at her like all the time .. either ask her out or stop staring so much" Keith sighed.

"b-but she pidge" Lance frowned.

"so" Keith asked.

"she smart, cute, amazing, sassy, pretty, funny, badass, the most beautiful girl i ever seen and she just so perfect" Lance smiled sweetly as he thought of the girl.

"wow your falling hard" Keith smirked.

"you think i dont know that, it kills me knowing she never be mine" Lance sighs.

"and how do you know that if you never try" Keith asked.

"but I'm just goofy lance while she this amazing god that could have any guy she wanted" Lance explains and keith rolls his eye.

"we talking about pidge not a god ... you think pidge would just date any guy .. she want a guy she trusted with her own life and a guy who would love her no matter how crazy she might be and that guy is you" Keith grinned.

"me" Lance asked shocked.

"dont forget the girl you love is just pidge ... she not the type of girl that always left you with a broken heart before you had a chance" Keith smiled and patted lance arm before walking away to train.

"just pidge" Lance chuckled, he caught pidge eyes once again and her smile brighten as he walked over. 

"hey lance" Pidge smiled sweetly as the tall Cuban boy stood in front of her.

"hey pidgin, mind if we talk" Lance asked with a nervous smile.

"i leave you two alone, dont be late for the meeting i dont want Iverson going mad again" James smiled and gave a small nod to lance before walking away.

"is everything ok" Pidge asked with worry.

"oh yeah its just" Lance replied getting embarrassed.

"just" Pidge asked looking at him with bright eyes.

"you ever been in love before pidge" Lance asked.

"yes, its a beautiful but painful thing" Pidge replied with a small smile.

"well I'm in love pidge" Lance grinned.

"yes i know you are lance, your in love with allura your told me many times over" Pidge sighed and rolled her eyes since lance used Allura as an excuse in the past when pidge caught Lance blushing.

"no I'm not, I'm in love with someone way more beautiful and perfect then allura" Lance smiled gently.

"then she must be a lucky girl to have someone so caring to love her" Pidge smiled softly.

"I'm in love with you pidge" Lance smiled warmly shocking the girl.

"me but I'm just pidge" Pidge replied in shock since no one ever saw her as a love interest, she always been the freak or geek. 

"Your not just pidge your  smart, cute, amazing, sassy, pretty, funny, badass, the most beautiful girl i ever seen and in my eyes your  just so perfect" Lance smiled sweetly and placed a hand on Pidge cheek.

"you really think so, this isn't just a nasty little prank right" Pidge asked with worry.

"if only the love i been keeping for you were just a dream but it isn't and i love you" Lance smiled softly.

"idiot, i been waiting since our garrison days to hear that" Pidge smiled softly. 

"does that mean" Lance asked shocked.

"i love you too lance" Pidge smiled warmly and lance pulled her into a sweet loving kiss. 

Who knew a love so strong could have started with the simple little things.
