Orphanage - Kidge.

Keith Mother gave keith when he was two years old after his father died. She left him in a basket crib on the streets. He was taken to Garrison Orphanage. 

He didn't fit in much with the other kids and often with some of the other children. He was a loner and didn't like others much. He knew how most of them lied and he didn't trust anyone. 

That was until he was four and a new girl came crying one night. He laid in his solo bed since he started to many fights already that gave him a single small room to keep him away from other children. He jump out of the bed and opened his door to look down the hall seeing a really small girl. 

"i-i'm s-sorry, i'll s-stop b-being s-smart and t-tiny" the small girl cried as she stood by the Orphanage door. Keith noticed the workers just walking away leaving the girl to cry. 

She had long soft hazel hair with bright pretty hazel eyes. He noticed she had cute freckles on her cheeks and noise. He couldn't help but find her cute and he felt like he needed to protect her. 

His legs moved before his brain and he walked towards the crying girl. He noticed she was holding tightly to round glass's that were huge for her. She turned to Keith as he stopped a couple feet away.

"i-i'm s-sorry" She cried and Keith looked at her confused.

"why are you sorry, your done nothing wrong" He replied shocking the girl.

"b-but the d-doc s-said i wouldn't g-grow as m-much as o-other c-children and i-i'm too s-smart f-for a three year o-old" She sobbed, shaking a little and Keith wrapped his arms around her. 

"its not your fault and i think being smart then everyone is super cool" Keith gently smile to the girl.

"b-but t-they left me h-here s-since i was d-different" She sobbed in his arms.

"different is fun too, i get told i'm different all the time and i love it since that means i'm not like those lying humans" Keith grinned and the girl looked to him, her eyes sparking a little.

"your eyes are b-beautiful" She smiled brightly shocking keith a little since everyone called his purple eyes freaky. 

"t-thanks" Keith mumbled earning her to giggle.

"Smarter is cooler and different is fun, thank you" She smiled and hugged keith back. 

"no worries, what ya name" Keith asked with a small smile.

"Katie but my brother called me Pidge" Katie smiled sweetly.

"i'm keith, i make sure to never leave your side Katie" Keith smiled brightly.

"really" Katie asked with hope.

"really" Keith grinned.

"thank you Keith, your the best" Katie smiled and hugged the boy tighter making him smile before they broke away from the hug.

"wanna room with me, i do have a bunk bed" Keith grinned.

"i cant reach steps" Pidge frowned.

"then i take the top" Keith smiled and took Katie little three year old hand in his before leading her to his his room.
